I thought it might be a cool idea for a thread where people can show plays that they love and why they love them. I guess I'm just in a reminiscing mood. Doesn't have to be just Pistons-related plays. I'll start: YouTube - Shawn Kemp Insane Dunk Over Laimbeer - McDaniel explodes ! Huge Facial Things I love about this play: 1. The obvious carry no-call 2. Those Sonics uni's were great 3. Shawn Kemp was awesome 4. Kevin Calabro is one of the most entertaining announcers of all time. 5. Bill Laimbeer was probably the only guy with enough guts to take the charge and get the call. 6. The crowd still not realising it was called a charge (or maybe they don't care) 7. X-man is just a fan like everyone else
Re: Plays I Love I was going to say "Fiddler on the Roof, or "Inherit the Wind" but I see you are talking about something else."
Re: Plays I Love We are on a BASKETBALL forum silly! Trust you to look for hidden meanings and make fun of them... EDIT: And stop hijacking my thread and getting it off-topic!
Re: Plays I Love I was going to make a wisecrack like that, but I figured that kind of humor was beneath me....
Re: Plays I Love You're just salty because I didn't think of some Australian play like ...uhmmm..."My crocodile ate my pet Kangaroo so now my Koala bear is lonely".
Re: Plays I Love Laimbeer got the last laugh with the offensive foul call....and eventually two NBA Championship trophies (something Seattle would never get anywhere close to).
Re: Plays I Love Tays block on Reggie. YouTube - NBA Eastern Conference Finals 2004: Prince of Defense Chauncy sending into overtime against the Nets YouTube - Pistons Playoff Moment Chauncey Billups Hits Half-Court Shot
YouTube - Rasheed Wallace 3/4 Court Buzzer Beater I will always remember Sheed for this one. Wow. I love seeing the cheerleaders sitting down disappointed-looking and then start jumping up and down when he hits the shot.
YouTube - Clyde Drexler - Gorgeous Fingerroll The most beautiful finger-roll I've ever seen. It was probably a bit of overkill because he only had to get the ball over Carl Herrera. It's not like Hakeem was sitting under the rim. But who cares? The arc and trajectory are quite something. I mean the ball barely brushes the net. Pure skill. The 3rd replay is the best angle.
