Who in particular?
Chandler has been mentioned in rumors for Hamilton or Kwame and Maxiel.......Last season Chandler was traded for expiring contracts (salary dump) to OKC before it was rescinded. Charlotte would only be cutting a few million if they were to trade with Detroit..That said I think the rumor never had any legs.. At this point Samuel Dalembert and his contract don't sound bad with our defensive deficiencies in the upcoming season. Dalembert was on the trade block last season. PHI were not able to move him due to his contract from what I gather.
Does Philly want Rip there? I don't think they'd be interested in Tay.
PHI was willing to trade him for almost anything from what I recall last season because Dalembert was upset and requested a trade but no one would take his contract. Maybe things have changed?
I think you're underrating Bass. He's quite a bit better than Max.
I'd say Bass...
I think this Mlive blog guy was just fishing with this bass story.
Are you carping about it...
I would love to have Bass, but Bass is basically a better version of JMAX. They play the same type of role. Bass is the player I thought Max would be. In hindsight..we shouldn't have signed Max to that extension. I hope we don't resign Dyess. He's one of my favorite players, but we simply don't need him. We are rebuilding. I want to see him go to a legit contender. I really wish he would win a ring.
Seems PHI is attempting to trade Dalembert: Rockets pass on Dalembert | Philadelphia Inquirer | 07/07/2009
Dalembert comes with a price tag of $23.6 million over two years, a $3.8 million trade kicker, and a knack for picking up two early fouls. That's a lot of money. Maybe that's why.
I dont think Dalembert and his huge price tag should even be allowed in a conversation about the Pistons. Talk about putting us in handcuffs for a few years to come.
It's between Orlando, Detroit, and Portland according to Bass' agent. RealGM: Basketball Wiretap Archives: Bass Narrows List To Magic, Blazers, Pistons
RealGM: Basketball Wiretap Archives: Bass Narrows List To Magic, Blazers, Pistons Looks like we're definitely in the hunt.
Of those 3 teams, we can give him the most playing time. So if Bass is looking to go somewhere he could get a lot of minutes, I say we are the front runner. If he just wants to be a roll player, then I would think he is going to Orlando.
Wouldn't he start in Orlando? Carter at the two, Lewis at three, and Bass at four.
Zaza Pachulia would be a decent and cheap starting center..However, it seems like he's on the verge of completing a deal today with the Hawks. Signing him is probably no longer an option. As far as a sign and trade goes I don't think ATL is interested in either Tay or Rip.. Could be overlooking other scenarios.
Glen Davis or Bass would fit the role temporary unless they have a break out season. The fact that we are one of three teams in the running is good news... Although I wouldn't label Rip as a trading chip we would still have Rip to trade to fill a missing piece.
IF we're going to throw away that kind of money on a center, I'd rather get Chandler than Dalembert.
Seriously, stay away from Sammy, he has attitude and work ethic issues.
