Hopefully Charlie can get Austin Daye (and his life coach) on this boxing program. That way they'd have 2 guys who couldn't bust through an open doorway throwing punches.

    Kevin Garnett beware!!!

I don't know what I'd rather see in Celebrity Boxing: Chaz vs KG or Chaz vs Daye. Or maybe Chaz, Daye and Gordon vs KG.

I'd pay to see Chaz V. versus Chaz Bono................

Was just reading an article on how Maggette isn't asking for a buy out and how he could see coming back to the Pistons next year to serve as a role model, etc.

It just got me thinking, why on Earth wouldn't the Pistons buy him out right now to save a little money now that the trade deadline has passed? Even if we only saved $500K, why not do it?

If the organization is going to do things like trading young players to save $1M here and there, this seems like a no-brainer.... unless he's just the guy keeping weekly mutinies from happening or something.

Unless Maggette has a burning desire to play for a contender(he says he doesn't) there isn't any incentive for him.

Not a smart move. There's no point in it, why would Maggs agree to a paycut? It also looks bad from an organizational standpoint, you don't want to be the kind of organization a player doesn't want to play for because you have a bad rep as a cheap team like the CLippers and Bengals.

It's not being cheap, it is setting him free to take his talents to a contender. Seems very selfish to hog him when he could be that missing piece somewhere else...

...Not to mention, we could use that $500K to sign those two 10-day contracts that 'the Old Paperboy' wants to bring in.

He hasn't played in months... what are the chances a contender brings him in, without him knowing he'll make his money somewhere else there is ZERO chance he'd accept a buyout.

I'd use the $500K to give Monroe a bonus out of the blue to make sure that he feels appreciated.

Since Shaq is retired, I would rather bring in LeBron and Dirk stopper Walter Herrmann.
