    Re: A Disgruntled Ben Wallace/What a Shame

The only thing I remember, was when the Knicks played their first game here last season, Ben was laughing when he said ,on camera, that when he heard LB yelling at his players, at least he is not yelling at us. Gave me the impression that Ben did not enjoy being yelled at by LB. I got the impression the Pistons were grateful to LB for what he taught them, but were glad to no longer be the targets of his wrath.

Bulls won again. Ben had 5 blocks and 11 boards. Only took 1 shot. Looks like he is cool not getting many touches with them.

You DO know it's not just shots don't you? You have heard this concept many times. It's touching the ball. It's getting to make passes. Being allowed to make decisions with the ball. It's not just shots. You can get touches and NOT shoot.

He was barely allowed to even look at the ball here last season. IF he gets touches...the defense AT LEAST has to react in some fashion. It keeps them honest and allows other players to get open more easily. It's a very sound concept.

Funny. I intended that post to be a compliment in pointing out the blocks and boards. I don't watch many Bulls games to know exactly how he is being used. Looked at the box and noticed he took 1 shot and had 1 assist. Did get to the line 6 times.

Bull's are winning with offense, and not defense which is surprising me. They are on a roll right now. The 1/6/07 game will be interesting.

From what I have read, the Bulls are winning with a lot of transition offense. They are playing very good defense right now.

In their last 10 games, they've won the battle of the boards by almost 3 per game.

They are also avergaing almost 3 more assists and 3 less turnovers and have 3 players shooting over 50%.

    Good defense feeds good offense.

Well, for the first half at least. I had to bounce because I had dinner plans during the second half.

When you text'd me...I was at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino heading for PF Changs...

...and I'm sure you'll get me back....I was waiting for it.

    No problem.

Whatever adjustments Skiles made it seems to be working.

    Ben Wallace

    15 pts/20reb/8 off reb/2 assists/2 steals/5 blocks

Granted it's against Seattle . . . but still impressive

He going to have more games like that as he finds his groove. The Bulls have struggled out of the game and some blame went to the saviour, big ben, but it appears that they he is meshing with them now and at least they are beating the teams they are supposed to and not letting lower tier teams beat them like the Cavs and Pistons do.

I am starting to get over Ben now. Don't even bother going out of my way to check the boxes anymore.

Guys have to keep telling yourselfs. He is a Bull now, Ben is a Bull now.

It would help if Mohamed showed a lick of being a starting center, what can you do.

Wonder what bballjay's take on that line is?

I'm sure he thinks his boy has had better games this season although there is no statistical evidence to prove that point.

I'm happy for Ben. In a perfect world Ben gets thats line every night and goes for the Roscoe quadruple single (1 point, 1 rebound, 1 steal, 1 block) when he plays us. :)

I heard he tried to wear leg warmers and a fist fight almost broke out with the coach before the game.

Huge game from every perspective for BW. Notice that all 3 times they took him out of the game, the Bulls lost ground.

I want to see him show the Chicago fans why he's getting the big money. So far this year, it has been a little embarrassing.

Whats embarrasing is that company line over the summer that we would not miss him so much with Mohamed. There have been a few wise cracks about it from other teams announcers, like "The guy that will make you forget about Ben"
