Hallway coach and I have been talking about Ben. We decided to take a lets be patient approach. New team, etc.

This game is crazy. I guess if the DHOF can point to those "one time" games, I can always pull this one out. I think I'm going to save the numbers on my fridge.

In all seriousness, I'm glad to see Ben do well. The Chicago fans must be loving it, especially after all the headband nonsense.

Do you know why he didn't play the last 6 seconds?

Because his coach wanted him to get a standing O from the home crowd.

The Bulls are 'gelling' as a team and they can only get better. Big Ben seems to get better when the team play as a 'team' like the 2004 PISTONS.

Nope, That was not even his career high. His career high for rebounds is 28 which he did twice. Highs for offensive is 12 and defensive 21.

Also has a high of 10 blocks which he did twice. That was when he had those 2 triple-doubles on blocks.

Easy to forget what kind of monster years he had for us back in the Carlisle days. If anything its more the kind of system Ben best thrives in. Give the Bulls GM some credit for realizing this.

I didn't say that each stat was his best ever, but the combination of them all has to be close.

Show me a better game by him. I am also putting a lot of weight on him holding the other team's center to 4 points.

Speaking of triple doubles, Bargnani has something like 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 blocks heading into the 4th quarter of the TOR/ GState game right now. He won't get it, but this is a bit of a break-out performance.

You don't want this guy on your team. He wears head bands, blasts music while wearing head phones and I hear he even gets upset when his team is not playing well.

    Does this sound right?
The guy was holding out on us, we had to let him go.
It's clear he's a one dimensional rebound hog.

Pistons co. really had to bite the bullet on that malcontent campaign. Is WDFN still running that? It was easy when they were 3-9, now the Bulls are only 1 game behind us. They should run a don't take any more nights off campaign or we could find outselfs in 3rd place really fast.

Did Ben Wallace get his way with Skiles? Ben's major complaint in Chicago so far (besides the headband, rights to DJ pre-game, etc) has been the same as his complaints in Detroit... he doesn't get enough touches. Skiles stood his ground on the stuff that doesn't matter, but it looks like Ben is getting the touches that he's asked for.

Ben has made a huge splash in his last 5 games with effort plays: rebounding, steals, and blocks. These are things that you gotta go out and get for yourself. These are things that the youngest brother learns to do because they won't give him the ball.

But, take a look at what Ben has done when they have given him the ball voluntarily.

    Last 5 games:
Vs Lakers- 7 assists, led the team
Vs Hawks- 8 assists, led the team
Vs Bucks- 6 assists, 2nd on team
Vs Sonics- 15 points, 3rd on team
    Vs Pacers- 4 assists, 2nd on team/ 10 points, 3rd on team

He was right all along. He can pass the rock!! It's even more amazing when you consider that they never double team him, and probably cheat off of him most of the time.

    Ben wins the standoff.

I read somewhere that Skiles wanted Ben's teammates to look for him because he is the "best passer on the team".

Right now, the Detroit media is silenced about Ben, but anyone following the story knows he has been earning his new salary in Chicago.
