In classic Ben Wallace style, he hasn't told anyone that his wrists have been popping out of their sockets due to a botched surgery 5 years ago! No wonder he can't shoot free throws. This guy is incredible.

So no more offering ideas on how to improve the FT's.

If you replaced his hands with chopsticks, he'd still be in the top ten in rebounding.

(this is in reference to the Mitch Albom article)

I love Ben as much as the next guy, but he's in a contract year, that could be the reason he doesnt really mention it.

Lets just hope it isn't a bigger problem once he starts making 10+ million a season.

the way this popping- out was described, I wonder how this hasn't been noticed. Does this make signing him more risky?

Lamar made the best of his limp wristed throwing style. Ben just needs an expert in aerodynamics.

When I boxed my wrist where always messed. Then one time this chiroprotor pressed it back in and it was OK for a while.

I don't see Ben lasting too long in this league. There seems to be an assortment of chonic injuries that he plays with and his height will become a problem when he starts losing some of his jump.

Thats why I would like to see a max 3 year extension. Asking for 5 will put the francise at risk.

I am not trying to diss the guy or advocate ripping him off. When Ben signied his current deal no other team in the league came close to matching. If not for the Pistons offer Ben probably would have signed a similiar long term deal for a lot less.

For his new contract a 3 year max or near max deal is fair for both sides.

Four is a decent number of years. Even though Ben would probably be overpaid big-time by the end of his contract, I can still see him contributing Bo Outlaw-style energy minutes off the bench.

Man, I'm relieved this wasn't about Ben coming out of the closet. :P
