for boyscout team it is coach who has the biggest influence; for veteran NBA team - players decide: LB used to say something like that" nowadays players do not listen to coaches so much anymore"

Ron Harper during his short assistant coaching here once told a story how during their "recording 72" season Zenmaster actually opposed the idea of the most regular season wins ever - a complete waste of energy- but ultracompetitive MJ was looking new challenges and after saying to players "don't worry, I'll carry you on my back", players followed MJ.

Pistons' leaders - Sheed and BupBup - were easygoing types and team followed them. Before leaving BigBen was probably with his competitivness able to somehow balance complacency, but seems that it was lost fight.

LOL. To be fair, Curry did say that KB starting was temporary until Sheed "felt better". Maybe he was relying on Sheed to let him know when "he felt better".

    Still, :tsk:

    Grow some backbone.

Sheed surely knows better when he is ready- he is an old vet, he "reads" his own body well, I guess.

Now if Curry had said "sit down and don't get up until I tell you, you lazy bum! You play when and if I feel like playing you. If you've got a problem with that prove me wrong on the court. Until then, get off my sight!"

That might have motivated Sheed to manhandle the opposing team or pout.

EDITED: Although this being Curry, that probably would sound like: "s'dawn, no up till you. C'maon. You bad. You play if I like. You don't like then play good. Until, s'dawn. C'maoun".

    LOL

Someone on DBB does a great Curry translator; they call him MCAFI or something like that which i haven't figured out, but most of the mock team huddles center around Curry telling the team to get "bebounds".

Did they include the word sensurgency? I had coined that when I was lurking at their game threads a few months ago.
