So I was reading the David Thorpe Chat on Espn.com and he suggested Utah trade Boozer for a starting 3...

Clark (Durham, NC): If you are the Jazz GM and Boozer comes back healthy in a month, do you try to trade him or hope he helps the team in the playoffs?

[IMG] David Thorpe: I trade him for a legit starting 3 + cap space + a pick.

So we trade Prince for Boozer...

Next we go back to that Sheed for Josh Howard idea...he'd be our starting 3. He's young, athletic, but does have a bad attitude. I think we should keep AI for the 20 mil to make a run at Bosh...

    Starters would be...

    Stuckey, Rip, Howard, Boozer, whoever

AI off the bench and possibly nab Bosh for our frontcourt. Probly will never happen but that'd be dirty.

Trade AI for Howard instead so we still get to keep sheeds cap space.

    Stuckey, Rip, Howard, Boozer, Sheed.

Let me show y'all Jive Suckas how it's done!!

    ESPN.com - NBA - Trade Machine Results

Now Collins and Ollie are just throws in to make the #'s Jive. We can release Collins ASAP!!!! Since what we send to Minny is rather 1-sided we make them throw in 1 of their four 1st rd draft picks.

So we get a really good backup PG, a really good young athletic backup SF, and a 1st round pick. Oh BTW, we get Rip and Max's numbers of the books, so we now have about $37million in cap space available this summer. We probably keep Felton for cheap ($4-$6 million) or we go after Jarret Jack in the summer and Carney makes less than $3mill next season, We now have enough $$$$ To go after 2 FA's!!!!!!! Bottom line is we get about $30 Million in cap space and 2 - 1st rd picks this summer. HOLLA!!!!

Oh man I'm just getting started, in a perfect world Joe would pull this one off:
    ESPN.com - NBA - Trade Machine Results

Port is overloaded at the PG and SF spots, Webster (although injured right now) looks to be the odd man out of the perimeter rotation, and Frye doesn't even play anymore.

2 Problems though, (#1)Port wants to get a Veteran PG or SF, Rip's a vet but we'd have to convince Port that he's a legit SF, (#2) No way and hell Port trades Bayless for Rip right now, he has crazy upside, he's the next Monta Ellis; again not very likely.......But I can dream can't I?

Imagine a 3 guard rotation of Bayless, Stuckey and AA for the future!!!! What a dream!!! This is more likely:

    ESPN.com - NBA - Trade Machine Results

This one would solidify our future like nobody's business, we'd dominate the next decade:
    ESPN.com - NBA - Trade Machine Results

Raef is just a trade filler. Bayless plays the backup PG spot for a another year or 2 and eventually allows us to let AI go bye-bye. Batum is going to be REALLY, REALLY good. It also gives us about $33million in cap space. Maybe they'd do it if we threw in a few picks.

I'm just getting started BABY!!!! The wheels (24's mind you) are a'turnin'........My best concoction yet!!!!!!!!

    ESPN.com - NBA - Trade Machine Results

Port gets a PG, a SF (sort of), hell we can even through in a draft pick.

Char gets rid of Nazr's contract, 2 legit PF's and a backup PG for Augustine.

We get Batum and Bayless BABY!!!!!!

If one of our guards does not come off the bench in the next week we need to trade Rip.

Fascinating stuff KG but I'd like a Portland trade that involves Outlaw. He's got the athleticism of Amir but with far more control and confidence. He could spell Tay at 3 and would be a better fit at 4 for MC Hammerless's small ball obsession.

What do you think thatr $30+ mill in cap space is for. One reason I keep proposing moving Max is becasue I think his contract was signed too soon, he's going to end up being our Luke Walton: Good, a fan favorite, not really overpaid, but we'd be better off without him on the payroll.

At this point it's not even about that, this roster is way too imbalanced, even if one of them enthusiatically agrees to come off the bench, they won't be very productive in a limited role.

I know, I really like his game too, he's the perfect SF to come off the bench.

And that is precisely why I didn't include him, when you're trying to sober a person up, you can't tempt them by taking them near bars and liquor stores.

Here's one, it solves all of our problems in a major way!!! ANd I think all 3 teams would do it in a heart beat. Minny basically trades Carney for Rip, if we can't pull this off then Rips value must be super low.

    ESPN.com - NBA - Trade Machine Results

Collins and Ollie are throw ins to make the numbers Jive. Carney is going to be good, real good. Minny really needs a SG, Mike Miller hasn't really delivered as planned. Memphis needs inside toughness and Max would thrive in Iavaroni's system, and they clear Jaric off the books. Again we save ANOTHER $6/$7 million in cap space in addition to the $22mill we already will have. Minnesota has actually started to play Carney and he's balling if we're going to get him, we better get him now. Oh and Lowry is a good little PG, perfect backup.
