I doubt anyone saw this coming. LOL, plus scUM is winning. If Ringer gets hurt, it will be a perfect day for Sparty...

This game is not Hoyer's fault, but if we get a new QB out of this, I would call it a worthwhile day!!!!

Hoyer looked dazed on the bench before the TD...that shot from Laurinitis is still running through his head

Pryor got OSU up big and took Ringer out of the game early. Ugly final score but I don't think the Spartan D is that bad.

I like Dantonio...his program will move forward.

    Agreed.

Next week is the battle of the suck A's. Will it get worse before it gets better?

Looks to me like MSU simply got OSU the WRONG week, when Pryor and Co. are really starting to gel. Could be a moral victory for UMers if UM can lose to OSU by fewer than 38 points. :pound:

Any given Saturday...football's a strange game. How does Purdue hold OSU without an offensive TD last weekend and then give up 6 TD's to NW?

Right. The loss sucked but I'll take 6-2 any day.

We need to beat scUM next week though. That one will be tougher to swallow if we lose...

"Would you call what took place at Spartan Stadium Saturday an example of Michigan State getting exposed?

    Yeah, something like.

    Exposed as a fraud? No.

Exposed as a poor team? No.

Exposed as a pretender? Kind of. For now. They were beaten soundly in what amounted to a separation game between the three-time defending Big Ten champ, Ohio State, and a program that is a year-and-a-half into a rebuilding process."

That game will be almost as big as the Broncos/Chips game yesterday. I think a lot of the drama just got sucked out of the game.

When Cousins came in and briefly got it going, I thought that the Spartans were going to do something big. But Ohio State is so much better...they are stacked...put Cousins along side Pryor and he looks like a midget. It was like an NFL team playing a Division 2 team.

Next week two mediocre teams play for State bragging rights.

Yeah..I kept expecting the MSU team to all come out of a little volkswagon at halftime...but I guess they had already sent in the clowns in the first half! :mad2:

I'm just hoping they will bounce back...not sure if they will.

Like MSU, I'm 6-2 on the "Picks" after the first set of games.
    I'm feeling lucky.....for now.

Sparty ranked 27th today. Seems like they should have dropped even more losing by 100 points, but I guess there aren't very many teams better.

The game won't even start for an hour and I'm already ticked at the way Sparty fumbled the opening kickoff, couldn't hold UM on 3rd and long, how Hoyer threw an interception when they were about to score, how they didn't fall on that fumble, how the open receivers dropped passes, how Hoyer over threw the open receivers, how they lost the game in the closing minutes...
