He was probably too "street" for B.D.

He doesn't want Laimbeer as his coach because he likes to bulldoze people, so I'm guessing Isiah was too street for the front office.

My take is that Davidson only likes his "Bad Boys" on the court.
    This goes for MAHORN also...

According to the stories, 'Horn was put on the expansion list because he had a bad back, and Rodman was coming on.

It was a series of hard choices both years they put players on the expansion list, we know how deep that team was in '88 and '89, they didn't want to lose anyone.

They were praying that 'Horn would not be selected. They had gambled with Vinnie Johnson during the first expansion draft.

    That's right.

They actually were going to put Buddah out there, but like you said, they thought Mahorn had a better chance of not getting picked up.

I think they only could protect 8 guys, and he became #9. Sad day when we lost him. He didn't do jack for the team that grabbed him either.

With what Lamb has been able to do with the Shock makes me wonder if he would be a better GM than Dumars. Lamb always seems to know what move to make at the right time.

Yeah picking up Taj-McWilliams Franklin during the Olympic break was masterful with Cheryl Ford going down. I thought their season was over then. If he gets 3 rings in five years, and the Pistons fail in the first year with Curry:sssh: :stirthepot:

He was in a similiar position that the Pistons are in now and he shook things up with the Katie Smith trade that put them back in top. Plus he drafts well.

I know its a different league but one would think that it would be harder for a WNBA GM since there are so fewer teams.

fewer teams means you have a higher percentage chance of winning. Not that I am taking anything away from the job he has done because I have felt for a long time he should be given a chance with the Pistons as head coach.
