CB assist Amir !
Penn State showed some when they beat OSU. No penalities and no turnovers. That's consistency....:winner_first_h4h:
Exactly! What in the world is this showing to the younger players? He should be emphasizing the opposite: CB: "look man, we are tough pro's that have gone and survived the utmost in expectations. Coming up short bothers us old timers and now we have a specialized and talented bench. Coach may be new as the main man, but he has seen our development and preaches accountability. Playing minutes is an enforcement of our collective soul. Mistakes will be made, but no one will out hustle us. As point, I set the tone and the whole climate for reactions. There will be no excuses from the starting five and from those off the bench. Last nights game tape will be a glacial spread of roles refined. And like all glaciers, we will just keep moving forward an inch at a time, until our resting place halts at an NBA championship." CB...that's what a leader says. And Curry, are you listening?
The day that CB uses the words "glacial spread" in an interview will be quite the day, all right.
That is not what a leader says.. that is what a politician says... That is saying what people want to hear. Come on, give the guy a break, he said that he wish that the season would start tomorrow because he and the team are ready and motivated. This is fair enough. now he mentioned that the team needs some polish, what is wrong with that? for once CB is being rational and does not mention flip the switch, and we don't like it?
The issue with always with CB is that he's a good speaker, but a bad speechwriter. He says things in a way that leaves them open to misinterpretation. Luckily, we hired him to win basketball games, not teach at Dale Carnegie.
I can't stand Chauncey Billups in certain ways. But at least he's honest. And by honest, I mean making excuses ahead of time. He's no snake like Kobe Bryant (threw Bynum under the bus prematurely). More like Randy Moss in a sense. When he doesn't think somethings right, he'll say it. If he wants the ball more, he'll go public.
We will beat Toronto! I have a bet on it godamit
Not any more!
I was just thinking about this thread a few minutes ago. Perhaps CB knew what was on the horizon and what he really meant was; I will be gone before we play 15-20 games...........
He just meant that it will take a while for AI to jell with the other guys.
He must have been in on it from the git go.
Chauncey and AI must hang out.
Just scanning over our schedule this year. April is looking like a pretty easy finish for us in case we need to make a big push at the end to secure home court for at least 1 round. Our last 8 games are against: NJ Phi Cha NY NJ Ind Chi Mia Philly is the only reasonably difficult game. We should finish 6-2 if we need the wins.
IS CB some kind of prophet
He thinks realistically cause he was around Sheed so much. He also knew that with a new coach, a new system, and new players was going to be a transition for the team.
I was watching Houston recently + tonight and they are experiencing a similar problem with the incorporation of Artest. They said on the broadcast tonight that Artest called a players meeting (vet's only) to discuss what they can do to fix the problems that are happening. So, maybe we do need to chill for a while.
