No biggie, I'm not married to the ideas. 1) No lobbying - that could get ugly I suppose, now that I'm thinking about it (perhaps, though, the owners/coaches could talk a little bit about their strategies heading into the game?). I still do think that a vote among the un-involved six participants is the best way to determine a winner, though. I certainly trust that more than some kind of simulator.. especially given what's been posted thus far about the results of said simulators. Thoughts? ...*also, conyejeremy, you seem to be a stand-up guy from what I've seen in your posts over the years, so I'm sure I don't have to worry about this with you, and this is in no way directed towards you.. BUt, I'm going to do the best job I can running this thing to make everyone involved happy. I'm going to go with the general consensus on all decisions. I hope that no one takes an attitude of "I'm not going to participate bc most people want this thing done this way, and I want it done this way." 2) We don't have to do that either lol. Usually in a fantasy league there's a cash reward of some sort. I was just trying to come up with something? First idea I had. Certainly open to new ones (including none).
I personally like the idea of an unreliable simulator giving us finality. Without that element, no loser will accept their vanquishing. I do understand that it will be mildly painful to administer though. The whole thing will obviously be a semi joking exercise.
I don't know. If 4 of you think I'd lose and only 2 think I'd win, I could accept that. More readily than some unreliable simulator. I'll probably be upset either way. I'll go with whatever the consensus ends up being though. (we'll have a while to decide with the draft and all).
The simulator would be the most fun and less political. We will need someone not in our draft to run the simulations, though.
I agree with Bill and TaS. Also, another thought: I think during the draft we should be picking a player and not a player and year. After the draft, we can then submit which year we want to be used for simulation purposes. So if someone picks Michael Jordan, he is off-limits thereafter regardless of how many years he played. Maybe that seems obvious, but I think it would be an important loophole to close before we start.
Alright, we'll do whatever the consensus is. Appears to be for the simulator right now. If it still is after the draft, that's what we'll do. Agree on your second point as well. I wonder how I'll decide.. PER?

I don't think I ever seen CJ get a worse draft position than second pick. In fact, I think he's won the lottery in every fantasy league I've been in.
