I saw this interview last night... you never know what is going to come out of Artest mouth when you put a mic in front of him. On one hand he was dissing Leborn and Kobe's game and then giving the young guy some props.
Nah. But he is really, really, really good. You got Lebron, Wade and Kobe, and then you got Brandon Roy. I'd take him over Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and the Vince Carters (always unfairly hated on) of the league (albeit it has a hell of a lot to do with age)
Did you hear when he talked to the press after they won the first series. "Yeah, I've been in the stands before" "Yeah, a guy actually offered me a beer, and I was like I got to sit down and enjoy this" Artest...the funny psycho. Chris Paul/Deron Williams say hi.
They are not wingmen, and I was putting him against wingmen. And either way Roy > Williams despite it beings apples and oranges.
Opps, I thought Artest meant was for best player in the league as Kobe and Lebron are always in those talks.
Lebron is the best player...he's only 24 with a ton of potential! Kobe is second...master of the game...more talented at this point than Lebron but let's not forget that he is a lot older than he looks. Dwayne Wade Chris Paul Deron Williams Tim Duncan Kevin Garnett Dwight Howard Chris Bosh Paul Pierce Brandon Roy Kevin Durant Steve Nash Yao Ming Carmelo Anthony Chauncey Billups Derrick Rose Ron Artest Joe Johnson Honorable mention: Darko Milicic I feel like I'm missing a couple of people!
I'd put Darko between Howard and Bosh, move Kobe to 1st, Roy to 2nd, and Lebron 3rd. But that's based on play today. If you consider age and future development, Roy 1st, Lebron, OJ Mayo, Rose, and Darko if he doesnt go to Europe. Next future bust, Blake Griffin (too short to play PF).
