It's the lead story at IndyStar.com right now.

It's reassuring to learn that the Pacers are well-armed as they carry weed and do late-night battle at strip clubs during training camp. You don't want those guys to get into any trouble that they can't get out of.

Aside from some techs and a little tazering here and there, our guys are squeaky clean. Makes me proud to be a Pistons fan today.

Probably time to dump him and send him off to the Jailblazers. The guy doesn't play much D and never met a shot he didn't like. 'Course, the guy CAN score.

    What's that old saying?

The team that shoots up a strip club together plays together?:gun1::yellowprison:

LOL, yep it was a "team building" trip.
Seriously, with his track record I'm wondering if he might see some jail time... still on probation?

I don't really see this as a big deal. It's exactly what I would have done in that situation.

The tricky part is to make sure it doesn't go off during your lap dance.

You guys are being to hard on Steve. He had his weapon registered and had a permit to carry it. He only fired the 5 shots after he got his butt kicked and after he got hit by the car and limped along in the parking lot. He pulled his pistol in self defense as the driver may have put the car in reverse and hit him again and burned rubber on his face. :gun1:

Personally if I was making mad loot like these guys there is no way I would be in a strip club with common thugs. These guy's make enough bread where they could have rented a room out for a private showing VIP only. They are just dumb.

And to top it off how come none of the other Pacers that also had guns tried to help him? He was straight up down to ride for his fellow teammates but when he needs some back up nobody had his back. WWRD- (What would Ron Do????)

PS> I wonder if these cats that beat down Jackson were from the D??

As Pistons fans I believe y'all should appreciate the fact that JAX is still missing his shots.:gun1:
Permitted, out at 3 a.m. and heading home. While I'm not defending JAX overall, the crime here was against the man, not by the man. Right?

I love the Pacers. They have been the best division rival since 1988. I was thinking the new honor may go to the Bulls or the Cavs, but with cool stories like this, the Pacers are keeping themselves in the hunt!

ski, Daniels already had been rumoured to have attitude problems. Are you sure it's a good idea for him to be running with the Pacers' G-UNIT?

Btw, did you know that Jermaine O'Neal's house has a secret "safe room" for his child/children to hide in case of emergency, and which doubles as a boys night room for card games? I read it in Dime Magazine last offseason. It's like a secret lair for wannabee gangsters.

All of those young urban Pacers are serious headcases out there in the cornfields...

Maybe Jermaine's "safe room" is to put his kids in when the Pacers come over. :gun1::smiley-poker::gun1::gun1:

While I'm never certain of anything, let's all agree that there's more to what we know now.:cold:
Upscale club, lowbrows and professional fools mixing it. Thank God JAX has enough sense to fire off some warning shots.

Amen to that. Perhaps he learned from his mistakes at the Palace?

Reports were that 2 other Pacer's players were also carrying guns but didn't brandish them. This could have gotten real ugly, real fast.

I love Canada. Very few people have guns. :)

The chances of getting your butt kicked are good, but shot? Not so likely. :D

Classic case of spreading the word before one has the facts.
Call me not surprised that Mercury broke it here.

Ok to fire warning shots?? Why would anyone need a gun?

This is quite foreign to me and scary that pretty much anyone can just carry weapons around, fire it off in public, and thats ok.

Yassah, and it's okay for some wannabe to try and run over anybody they want to, eh?
More of an indictment on strip clubs and the ID10Ts that frequent them.
No "funny man" here, simply a case of jumping to conclusions.
Anybody got somethin' he might call "facts"? That might be what's foreign here.
Definitely a PR nightmare for a team that doesn't need any more nightmares. However, if I want FOXNews, I'll view the FAUXNews channel. I'd expect more from a Pistons site.
