    Last year.

    Haywood $4.5 mil
    Nazir $5.2 mil

The Wiz obviously got a lot more bang for their buck here last year.

Haywood will do just as good as Nazr here. Pistons need an upgrade at the center position. I say Joe takes a risk in the draft and gets a footer with the 27th or 57th pick. If the best player at #15 is a C then get the replacement their.

If it helps us get Daniels I would be more than comfortable swapping one bench warmer for another (nazr for haywood)

I don't want Grant just because of his stupid blog. Uh, I mean Thomas. We've already got a mayor.

Not much more to add, other than they both stink, but at least Nazr is a professional, and Haywood would probably start a fight with JMax the first time JMax got more PT.

Whats Haywoods defense like? If he is as soft as Nazir then its a waste of time.

I don't know. We already know Nazir did not work out, maybe it would be worth a try if thats all there is. Haywood is slightly cheaper and probably would be easier to trade.

Something tells me that we will be hoping for another Webber to materialize next season. May be worth keeping the current one around if he does not want too much.

Here's what you gotta understand guys, it's not about a 7' er clogging the lane anymore. The main thing we need out of a center is a player who can hedge and recover on a high P&R; and switch sometimes as a last resort. Nazr & Haywood can't do any of that, nor can Etan. Realistically we could really use Tiago Splitter in the draft, if we were still a defense first team. But come thurs we need a player who can get his own shot and fill it up.

Thank you bro. I think our perception of how the game has changed gets put into reverse when we lose.

Athleticism, speed, measurables (reach, wingspan, vertical) are the ways to evaluate a player in today's game. Going strictly off of size will leave you with Erick Dampier or Jamaal Magloire.

I agree, but Etan Thomas moves like Ben Wallace compared to Nazr and Haywood (Not saying much).

Bring back Big Easy, I don't care if he's 45 years old.

This year Haywood played in 77 games and averaged 22 + minutes a game which is more minutes per game than our bench warmer Dyess did. LOL

I hear you. Fact is we are stuck with Mohammed for the next 4 years.

I don't know if Dumars can pull something else out for a backup guard or something.

If I had to choose between Nazir or Haywood I would choose Haywood. His defense can't possible be any worse and he won't be starting the season on a starvation diet.

Haywood had quite a few starts for a team with god awful power players.

Dyess came off the bench for a team with a very very good front court (in theory)...
