I am not sure who is love with seeing Brett Favre's name in the media more, ESPN or Bret Favre himself...

ESPN gave a blow-by-blow account of what time he woke this morning, what time he patted his wife of the behind teller her goodbye, the time he got on the plane to Minnesota, what beer he drank on the plane, what the time the plane landed and how long he was in the bathroom a the practice facility,

Favre was probably jealous that Vick was getting all the attention, so he decided to unretire again so this name was on the tongues of every sports fan....The Vikes will sign him for 10-12 mill per year if he passes the physical.....hope he fails ans is sent back home or the Vikes stumble all season.

If he is successful, maybe the Lions should call 41 year old Barry Sanders to see what moves he still has.....

I just heard a rumor that Brett is having second (actually fiftieth) thoughts and may hold a press conference tomorrow to announce his retirement.

Actually, I fault the media for this story as much, if not more than Favre. We are living in a different world with this 24/7 news cycle where they are always fishing for "news".

I just realized - Brett did exactly what I would have expected him to. He never wanted to retire at all. He just didn't want to have to go to training camp.

The suffering at training camp is legendary

-no AC in the dorm type rooms.
    -that's all I got.

Exactly. Favre just didn't want to go to training camp. He didn't want to put in the work like his fellow teammates. How can he just come off his couch and start this weeks pre-season game? This was all done with a wink and a nod. He probably had the Vikings playbook the whole time studying it. What a complete tool.

Now that I think about it, if someone was offering me $25 mil to come out of retirement, I may come out and do some work for them no matter how bad I feel or how bad my skills may have deterioted...

I wonder if it is a guaranteed $25 mill contract??

What if they offered you 1/100th of that? $250,000 to come work for 16 weeks.

That's why he gets rid of the ball so quickly.

Think of that deal though. You could do it for 100 years and not be as well of as Brett Favres 3rd comeback attempt.

CALLED IT!!! Brett said it took a call on Sunday? from Brad Childress to convince him to play Football again.

Yes they pushed hard..I mean sending coaches, playbook, and calling him constantly...I knew it.

Oh, I really don't mind seeing him come back. I was just expressing my thought that that was kind of a weak-sauce prediction on your part.:stirthepot:
