Well it's that time of the year again will Brett retire or will he play? Why is it media folk who have never played a down of football think that a 40 year old man can take hits and play with 20 year old guys for 18 weeks..??

    You know what I think?

I think he made a huge mistake. I think he should have done an hour long television special and then told the world that he is leaving Minnesota. He could maybe get ESPN or somebody to buy into that.

I bet he's just trying to get out of camp again.

Every time I pop over to ESPN, ESPNews and ESPN2 today, they have been talking about Favre, so he has got more than an hour coverage.... he has somehow as he did last year turn a slow sports week into "Brett Favre day.''

I am watching All My Children right now, and he just showed up at a party escorting Erica Kane....:)

Lol...i missed All My Children today. Do you watch General Hospital?

I just want him to retire already. Enough. He is such a prima donna. Its probably not true. Only the media is not sick of him.

I wouldn't doubt it. I don't blame a veteran stud player for missing camp (See Barry Sanders), but Favre is a complete attention seeking jerk besides.

I'll bet Minnesota is kicking themselves for not trading for Donovan McNabb or maybe even drafting a quarterback (crapshoot).

Will they beg Kurt Warner to come out of retirement? I doubt he would do that.

Minnesota is championship caliber...but without a quarterback...

He may be holding out waiting to see if Pat Riley is going call him and offer him the pg position for his team in South Beach

They could go after Scott Mitchell. He's only a year older than Brett and has way less mileage.

He still looks like he's in great shape.

He must have started eating more after his career ended.

He was on a steady low calorie diet of stadium turf when he played.

Wonder if ESPN just planted the original story about the text messages because of a slow sports day??

Either the way I hope the Vikings put all faith in him and the distraction leads them to a sub-par season.....behind the Lions..:)
