The thread that will never die. I should have recorded all those ESPN announcements that he retired. Then again, I wouldn't have any room left on my DVR to record anything else.

Report: Brett Favre to rejoin Vikings - NFL - Sporting News

I can't believe that the Vikings had to send a player posse down to Mississippi to kidnap/beg Favre to see if he would play this season. Dude is still hurt and they just won't let him heal.

Just think if the Lions had begged Barry Sanders to comeback?? Would they have won the Super Bowl...no...

I don't like to wish hurting on a player, but I am hoping that he gets hurt somewhere in the third or fourth game and he is out for the season....and I hope he fakes it...:)

Can't wait to bump this thread in 7-8 months! It's becoming a tradition.

The Lions play the Vikes in week 3.....if Favre is at the helm, maybe a chance for it to be the coming out party for Mr. Stafford if he can out duel the old master......just sayin:sssh:

Just means the Lions will lose two more games this year.

It's a good thing the Lions didn't see the Vikings with Favre in the first exhibition game of the season. It would have turned my stomach to see a thread titled "Lions will be the first ones to witness the Minnesota Thrice"

There's nothing wrong with BFs ankle. He's just milking it for 3 more weeks. He's an old man let him heal. I heard BF flew to Grand Prairie today. Now I'm glad he's pulling this stunt. Now we can see what a bunch of two faced hores NFL coaches can be when it comes to a QB.

Yeah, I think you are right. But it does look like the Lion's colors.

    So...Just Do It...means what?

Just take your attention seeking whiney lame arse into retirement already, or just quit playing games and tell the world you are joining the [STRIKE]Miami Vikings[/STRIKE]Minnesota Vikings.

More power to him. I certainly think he likes his celebrity status, but it's the media's fault for playing up the retirement games every year. It's clear all he wanted was to skip training camp. At his age and with his accomplishments, I think he's earned that.

I think he was working it for a few more million dollars worth of contract incentives, too.

I think you are both absolutely correct. Money plus missing camp. But I also firmly believe he wanted the attention and wanted them to beg him to come back.

Not sure how I would rank order them.

Anyhow, it was fun to follow the story and criticize him. :sssh: I don't think anyone is surprised he returned.
