Great back door cut by Singler forces Plumlee out of the game with his 2nd foul early. Singler is one of the best in the league at that back door cut.

Singler with a nice blocked shot on Deron Williams. Kyle is a very efficient and crafty defender.

Kyle blows by his guy and throws up a beautiful runner off the glass. The guy is versatile and just has a whole lot of talent. "That's why they call him the Bucket Man," said George Blaha.

Pistons are tied up 22-22 after the 1st quarter. Brandon Jennings has been the weak link this quarter. He has 3 unforced turnovers that have led to layups and dunks the other way. The Nets are posting him up nearly every time on the opposite end.

Monroe has been pretty weak as well defensively. Monroe has left Teletovich wide open for two three-pointers. You have to know your personnel. You don't sag off this guy. All he does is jack up threes.

Sure, the starters are not negative in the plus/minus column, but that's only because Singler is playing so well it makes the stat misleading.

Teletovich has 11 points in 6 minutes. Now Josh Smith is "guarding" him. Defense is terrible....except Kyle Singler. He just blocked another Deron Williams shot. Unfortunately, Singler cannot single-handedly guard every Nets player.

A 23 -6 2nd quarter explosion of threes by the Nets and it looks like we can chalk up another loss.

Pistons try to make it respectable in the end, but after trimming the Nets 22 pt lead down to 10 with about 6 minutes left in the game, they trade hoops the rest of the game to maintain the hold on their spot in the ping pong race.
Some good play in the end from Dre, J J and Siva down the stretch, but Stuckey was just taking up space missing shots and Singler was just trading hoops with Shawn Livingston who burned Kyle a couple of times.
Loyer should have thrown up the white flag at the 4 minute mark and put KCP and Mitchell in there to give them some much needed burn.

I like the fact that Siva is getting some burn. I agree that we put Mitchell out there for some games. Pizza Guy, too.

I am thinking if we had given him a little more rope, he would have will this team into that 7th playoff spot. And the way the Pacers are playing we could have even got to the second round.

Gores reacted too soon.....just like a new owner does.....

Coach decided to ensure we lost this won, playing Singler the whole 4th.

Siva palyed, looked good. Looked lightyears better than Bynum.

Pope played in the first half, and was plus, so he was not played in the 2nd half since we are tanking.

Singler entered the 4th quarter at minus 20. Very effective tanker. In the end, the coach pretended he was in there to guard Livingston, who scored over him every time he tried. Do pay attention, we did not double team, nor even try to double team, Livingston as he was scoring over Singler. Again, tanking all the way.

Amd JJ looked pretty awesome. Of course, for that, he replaced not a minute of Singler's time, since we are tanking all the way.

The only thing I liked about this one, Siva got some minutes.

Smith did some scoring, Drums had a totally monster double double.

Andre, JJ and Kyle were good. Everyone else mostly stunk. JJ has the player option next year...is that right? Siva won't be in the NBA for long, so nice to see him get some pt. Maybe he can show his kids when he gets older. Kyle did a good defensive job on the other JJ.

Monroe let the the big chucker have multiple open shots. Not one of Greg's best games. That dude can really shoot.

Aren't we 3 and 0 against the nets when bynum plays this year? Has any pg in history logged more minutes than siva without making a shot from outside the paint? Dude shoots worse than than rodney.

Why does Coach Loser insist on playing Drummond so many minutes? When is he going to realize that his play suffers and he gets tired when he plays so much?

I don't think I've ever watched a professional sports team care less about how they were playing than these guys do right now. Firing Cheeks absolutely emotionally destroyed Jennings for the season (not that he was a beacon of quality or anything in the first place).

Whats your point? Singler was minus 23 when he came into the game to start the 4th. And we were down 22 with very little chance of winning. JJ played fantastic to begin the quarter, helping us claw back some against their bench. But they brought their starters back and we got no further. Against their starters, we left Singler and JJ in as our front line instead of bringing our huge front line back in.

To be more specific, we got down 20 before Singler left the game a few minutes into the 2nd quarter. Then we rallied to about 10 down. Miraculously, we went down 20 again in the 3rd, with Singler in.

What was going on? Smith was doing some pretty nice scoring. Drummond was having a truly monster game. How is it that we could not compete with this team we beat 3 times already this season. In fact, last time we played them, they did not even look like they belonged on the court with us. Yeah, Singler is that bad. No defense. And he allows them to mostly use five guys on our other 4 players on our offensive end.

In case you think I am making this all up, lets go look at what 82games.com has to say about Singler: Lets start with the simple rating. Jennings, Monroe, Smith, and Drummond are all positive, while Singler is negative 3.1. Next, lets look at PER vs. opponents PER. As a shooting guard, Singler is PER 14.5 while allowing a PER 20.0 for his opponent.

How about small forward for Singler: 12.6 to 15.5. Not as bad, but it does nothing toward us ever winning a game.

How about the other starters: Drummond 24.7 PR vs. opponents 19.8 Hmm, does not seem Drummond is losing us games.

How about Jennings: Nope, he is even, 16.6 /16.6

How about Monroe: Gee pretty much dead even. A bit under vs. opposing power forwards, but equally ahead vs. opposing centers. (18.2 / 21 , 21.1 /17)

Maybe Smith is the problem: Nope, he is also even, less vs. small forwards, more vs. power forwards.

In all, we see the weakest link is Singler. He is the drag on the rest of the unit. Both ends of the floor.

Lets put it this way. You like Singler, right? Or maybe you are just kidding me. Whatever. If you needed someone to score, would you suggest the ball be put in Singler's hands? Of course not. Best Singler would do is dribble the ball some and hot potato it to the next guy. The other team, they cheer for us to pass the ball to Singler. Where they do not want the ball to go, to Smith, Monroe, or Drummond around the basket, or in Jennings hands since he is a threat to drive in.

PS, nothing has changed my opinion on Jennings of late. He should not be playing, and should never be allowed to play until he trains himself enough to able to comfortably finish righty from the right. Without that, he is really a crippled point guard, and the the whole league knows it, allowing him to go right all he wants, and never worrying a bit that he will ever score from there.

We out rebounded them by 20, won the turnover war, and comitted fewer fouls, yet lost. I personally noticed the barrage of 3 pointers that rained down upon us at every position except the one that singler was guarding. They hit 9 threes off the bench for crying out loud. Is that an nba record for the season?
