News to come later...waiting for link New Orleans Hornets fire Byron Scott, according to NBA sources - ESPN
Thanks ...I just got it too. team work Z 3-6 record did suit well with a team's owner that had the # 1 player in fantasy land... I wonder who's next, Lawrence Frank or Mike Diantoni??
That roster ain't so bad , they've got the best PG in the NBA, an all star PF in West, an old Peja, a great sixth man in Posey and a guy everyone wanted to be traded to the Pistons,Okafor as their center. Their bench is a bit week, but even so, they are underperforming and I don't think it's Scott's fault. I have not seen the heart and the will to perform from any of their players, except Paul and Posey, since the surprising WCSF from 2 seasons ago. I see this team having the same faith as the Warriors team that shocked the Mavs, from an outstading season straight to mediocrity.
I would disagree. They have a the best point guard in the league, a weak PF that wouldn't average 8 & 4 if he wasnt playing with CP3, Peja would is streaky, and cant defend, and a center that is making money because he can block only because he's a 7 footer, and an aging 6th man that is riding his success of past contract years...Weak.
The job was given to the GM>Jeff Bower....he is supposed to invoke change.....how many times has GM taking over led to disaster...does the name Kevin McHale and Isaiah Thomas sound familiar?? Bower was the architect of the team and ownership is setting him up to be the fall guy...does the Kevin McHale and Isaiah Thomas sound familiar? He is adding Tim Floyd as his lead assistant.....which means he will be the coach next season.
Wow what a dumb franchise. Do they remember they were the second best team in the western conference just two seasons ago? Fire Q and hire Byron Scott ASAP.
With the Saints going 8-0 out of the block, the Hornets management was probably seeing more attendance moving to the Superdome and had to fire someone and Scott was the fall guy. They lost by 20 points last night...but even worse they are the only team that the Knicks have beaten this year....
