At a time when teams are playing small and fast, the Grizz are playing Big, Tough and Physical. Watching them in the playoffs makes me believe that they're going to be tough to beat in a rugged 7 game series. Can we do what the Grizz are doing with Monroe and Drummond up front? I think if we could get a really good PG and get 2 defensive minded players on the wings who can knock down an open three........it's possible!

You know what's funny, Tayshaun of a few years ago on this Grizzlies team would be a FORCE!

And neither Gasol nor Randolph move like Drummond. I like the Griz but they can struggle to score. I don't know that the Pistons have to be that way. Drummond seems to open things up.

I'd like them to have a back-up 4 that allows them to go small with either Monroe or Drummond.

But right now, neither Monroe or Drummond can BALL like Z-Bo and Gasol. But I think with the two of them we can rule the paint, especially since Monroe plays a bit like Z-Bo......below the rim, but not nearly as strong or as physical as Zac.

Maybe the best C in the L atm, a top 10 PG and Zeebo is a pretty solid core.

Didn't everyone used to belittle Conley's contract?

I'm excited to go into the year expecting to see Monroe, Drummond and Knight play together. I just wish it happened last year.

With Olapido as our pick and Mayo and Jack as FA signings all our perimeter players are good to great defenders and good to great 3p shooters. Another option would be Calderon. Neither Jack nor Calderon excites me but atleast they are not Jennings and I do not want to see BK start as our PG. Use the second to take a flier on the greek guy blue wanted to trade Monroe and a pick for if he is still there.

    Drummond
    Monroe
    Olapido
    FA (Mayo?)
    FA (Jack?/Calderon?)

    FA/2nd rounder (The greek?)
    JJ
    Singler
    Middleton
    BK

    Slava
    English
    Chaz
    Stuckey

I love watching the Grizz play because of that; the fact that they go against the flow of the league and play a tough, big lineup. We're not even close yet. Because both Zbo and Gasol can hit it from long range, which keeps the defenses honest. This opens up passing lanes and allows the bigs to put the ball on the floor and drive. With us, teams can just pack the paint and shut down 3-4 guys on the floor as nobody has reliable range.

Tay actually fits well with that team and he plays with a lot more energy and creativity than he did here. It's been a good trade for him, and I'm glad he's in the post-season again.

Wasn't there a rumor a couple of years ago that the Pistons worked out a deal to trade Tay for Z-B0? But it was squashed during the Karen Davidson era?

Follow up question: Which is the worst era in Pistons history? Teal or Karen?

I can't (and won't) argue with any of that, but I think it's a model to shoot for; as well as Indiana.

If the Grizz get to the finals, they in essence will be compared to the Pistons of 2003-08.

I see them beating either Spurs or Warriors in the next round.

Grizz will really hurt Warriors. Spurs would be a good matchup

Hollinger looking good with the Tay and Daye for Gay move.

Gay was their top scorer per minute and Tay is 18th on their team for the year. With only 1 basketball though, it doesn't seem to matter as Zebo, Conley, and Gasol just increased their attempts.

    Tay
    Daye
    Gay

    Such a poetic trade.

    To let go of Gay
You need a good glue like Tay
    And filler like Daye
