The Free Press is reporting that the Wings will announce that Nicklas Lidstrom will be named the next captain of the Red Wings sometime before training camp starts. Here is the story. It's a good choice. Although I think I would have preferred that Zetterberg got the "C", since Lidstom will be gone in a few years anyway.
