On the radio they said it was a mutual decision. So perhaps RC was the one that wanted out. Can't blame him. I would like to have him back but its never going to happen since Davison does not like him for some mysterious reason. Any any rate, he will get some offers from other teams.
As Lee mentioned there might very well have been a racial element involved in the trade (Although I'm not sure Junior knows he is white) but the botom line is that RC was dealt a poor hand. I thought he got the most out of what he had.
On time with the pics TaS. - "(No, I don't want to get into discussing it, but this trade has all the earmarks of being a race based one.)" You can be honest with me Lee. But don't do that "I can't say but, BS". I want to see the whole world! - Nier, that remark was very unAryan of you.
I think a team like the Bucks could benefit from RC's defensive mindset. Certainly the Sonics are also in need of a defense 1st coach. It would be intersting to see RC take on a team that is loaded with scorers... I mean could he stop Ray Allen & Lewis from putting up numbers?
Can Stiles for Carlisle. Better Defense and BBeen wouldn't mind. I'd give him another 2 year run. And so would the LOW.
I'm seeing Carlisle in Seattle. It would be the best fit for him. Team with a couple years grace during a transitional period, and plenty of young talent to play around with.
This is from today's Seattle Post. Shake-up at the top for Sonics The Sonics seem very interested in a defense first type of coach. If Rick could lead these guys to a 50 win season, he would be a hero in Seattle. Or Oklahoma.
Ahhh man I would take that guy back in a heartbeat. R cola is a great coach and is somewhat overrated. I would love to have him back but I think we all know that is almost impossible.
RC will get hired. Isiah will bring him in. They'll form the "Bird do do" club. Let Isiah be the Prez, and RC can coach...............He'd get 50 wins next year out of that bunch...............
Carlisle was a good coach- he's not shy to play the players he has. But somehow I still wonder what made him play Curry in front of Prince for an entire season.
Apparently Sam Mitchell (COY, Toronto) is the leading candidate for the Pacers job. It makes sense. Sam is a former Pacer and he does the whole touchy feely team bonding thing, so maybe he can make a nice middle of the road team in Indy.
Does that mean Sam is fired or is he quitting? If he is fired, is there any other coach in NBA history that has the same fate as Sam after being named COY?
Man I hope he gets the job. I really don't care for the Pacers at all, but the thought of their next coach being Chuck Connors Person made me kind of sad for them.
