Brown always coached at the pleasure of Lebron. The Cavs would not fire Brown if Lebron did not want him fired.

I don't know what took them so long. They should have at least made the Finals the past 2 years.

This story has not been confirmed yet as neither ESPN or NBATV has broken this news yet. Dan Gilbert did indicate that he was still evaluating the situation this afternoon and denied previously published reports. But I do see him gone before the weekend is over if not sooner.

Shame about Woodson, but being beaten by 25 pts a game in a sweep is just a shame.

he got out coached a little but he didn't turn the ball over 23 times.
JD should hire both Woodson and Brown so no one else can have them.

    He kicked Twitches azz.
You think Q could've been in the mix, assuming JD didn't steal him?

It was bound to happen....look at the recent COY that have met their demise in the next 1 or 2 years after they won...

Rick Carlisle Det won 2002, let go in 2003
Hubie Brown Memp won 04, resigned in 2004
Mike Diantoni Phx won 2005. escaped the Suns in 2008
Avery Johnson Dall, won 2006, let go in 2008
Sam Mitchell Tor won in 2007, let go 2008
Byron Scott NO, won in 2008, let go in 2009
Mike Brown Clev, won in 2009 let go in 2010
Scott Brooks OKC won in 2010 let go ?????

Other than Brooks, only Popovich who won with the Spurs in 2003 is still with the team that he coached to win the COY

By the looks of things, a statement like this is all you need these days to start a rumor from a "credible source".

Wow, didn't realize it was that bad. Makes you wonder about the method used to select coach of the year though.

Maybe the more plausible rumor to start would be that Mike Brown encouraged Delonte West to seek comfort in the companionship of Gloria James. Poor Delonte has had a lot of off-court turmoil in his life this year and perhaps his coach urged him to search out the kind of motherly advice and support that only LeBron's Mom could offer.

...That, or Brown kept urging Delonte to "go to the hole" and he completely misunderstood him; thus destroying whatever chemistry the Cavs had.
