Twittering is not for me. My son showed me on my cell phone where I can get on the internet and twitter and everything. I just use my cell phone to make calls and text once in a while. I did not know I had a computer in my pocketbook. My children do not have cell phones but sometimes I let the use it to call friends and play games, all the while he was using my cell for the internet. I am so stupid.

I don't understand it. 24yr old former 7th pick who put up some numbers last year and will only get better. Couple of years ago this guy would have went for 55 mil instead of 35.

    Whatever - co-sign away.

Agree. I was reading some online articles about him. Seems like a nice person. Apparently, communication is a strength. This was a good deal at a decent price..he can score and twitter.

What am I missing about him talent wise that most of the Forum thinks was a bad sign?

Why do people seem so ungrateful about signing Charlie...? Who can name a better player, in the FA market, at his position, that costs less?

I can only guess because the national media hasn't told us that he's the next big thing we are to asume he'll be a bust?

folks will do whatever they want... forget the numbers in front of there face, unless the numbers say what they want then the numbers can't lie....

I really wonder sometimes how many folks here would rather be proven right then have the pistos win...

I for one, am really looking forward to this team playing from the start of the regular season for the first time since they started to defend there title in the fall of 04, since then the regular season has been just a thing to get thru before the playoffs started.

Maybe with all of the hype about cap space, people wanted a bigger name or a trade for a bigger name. This is a rebuilding year. I am looking forward to the season. I am really happy Joe didnt give in the AJ.

I think the Pistons and Joe will collect some Lux Tax money.

Meanwhile in the FA PF department, Vareass signs for 50 million over 6 years. Danny Ferry is awful.

    I'll take Charlie.

Really? Sideshow Bob got that? That's an awful contract.

edit: LMAO; I'm getting a kick out of this though. Cleveland really shot themselves in the foot.

If numbers were all it took to make someone a very good basketball player we would have to put alot of "bad" players in that category. I bet you i could put up fairly good stats in MIL.

I feel the same way when someone raves about Zach Randolph

    LOL

Randolph is a head case. He could have been good.

I'm starting to warm up to these signings (never will believe that these guys can defend).
This is gonna sound strange but Ben Gordon has some of the longest fingers I've seen since the Ice Man... it's a valuable asset in ball control and shot control (45% shooting last year).
As for CV, it's tough call... because he's a relaxed player the shots will be taken with a smooth, natural rhythm... One of my sick followings is players length (particularly standing reach)... Charlie V has a 9'1" reach... this is on on par with Chris Bosh and Nene (only 1 " below most centers)... with his hook shot there won't be many shots blocked.

I still think we'll gets burned on defense and we'll be lacking a facilitator that can see the court to find the open man (basically a team of selfish players).

IMO, it will take Okafor or a healthy Kaman or this will be a long year.

so what if he only put up 8 and 7 last year? he can always improve on his numbers but you can't teach hair.

    Really?! That seems crazy.

    In contrast, I read Birdman signed a back-loaded 5-year $25M contract...which seems very reasonable.
