It seemed odd that the Bucks didn't offer at least a qualifying offer to their restricted free agent charlie villanueva after basically giving away richard jefferson in order to do so.

It seemed odd tha the Pistons just gave up once prized prospect Amir Johnson for absolutely nothing after he was described as havng top 5 pick value in last year's draft.

Do you think that Joe-D said to his old buddy John Hammond, "Hey, let villanueva hit the market clean, and i'll give you amir (that prospect you liked so much)."

I'm willing to bet that this is exactly what happened...and that we will sign charlie. he's a big, long, outside shooting 4. he's young as well. should be relatively cheap. fits into our spreading out the court with 3 pt shooters at the 3 and 4 philosophy.

    hmmm...

What's up with the continued Amir-love? Guy's not THAT athletic. All he can do is block shots.

The biggest problem with your theory is that Villanueva wants to go to Cleveland.

I thought maybe he would do a sign and trade if that was the case. However, I would rather have Villenueva than pay Boozer 14 million a year that's for sure.

Good point Ernie. However, in this draft the comments by the Pistons brass indicate they want a combo forward in the Shard Lewis- and I can't believe I'm saying this -Twan Jamison mold in a big way.

And this just in from Charlie's twitter page: Well, i would like to thank my milwaukee fans, for 3 great years, and Senator Kohl, but my journey in Milwaukee has come to a end".

Yikes. I'm a little scared. Tell me its not so Ernie.

I don't mind Charlie V all that much especially at the $$ he would probably get in comparison to Boozey.

At this point you could tell me Kobe was signing and I wouldn't see it impacting the team all that much. I got no idea where they are going.

I don't think Joe knows where he's going.
At the same time, there was another article today about Charlie wanting to go to Cavs. They can pay him somewhere between $5 and $6 mil. His last salary was around $3.5 mil.
