Man, I am starting to hate the nuggets and their overrated record. They dont lose to any sub .500 team. The suns rest shaq against them and they win, and yesterday spurs rest manu, parker and duncan against them and they won again..
They won against OKC by 2 points earlier in the season with chauncey, and yesterday by 1 without chauncey. Compared to portland, they been unlucky in that department. But Utah jazz are having their worst injury-troubled season for some years now. Their key players missed so many games. And Denver would be dreaming to have the northwest division if Utah was healthy.
Billups was on PTI today live in studio and gave Mike & Tony five minutes of funk!! Says he is coaching Melo to be a better player....(which begs the question who's coaching Stuckey) CB says if they had drafted Melo, the Pistons would have had won three rings...duh... and he would still be a Piston Says that Kobe out performed Lebron at the garden this week. (Although he only saw the high lites) but he said that Kobe 's 61 looked easy.. (By the way the NBA took a rebound away from Lebron so no mo triple double) Guess we have to wait for the head to head match-up Sunday...
I don't think there is enough room at the Palace for Billups ego. Say what you will about AI, but he is a lot less arrogant than CBill. Some people like that Alpha Dog stuff, but I don't. 3 straight ECF losses don't back up the big talk.
My wife watched PTI while I cooked dinner, and she feels Chauncey is very unassuming. Her take is that getting AI was a mistake. She's right more than I.
That's the vibe i get. I read the quotes and they sound bad, but when i watch him he comes across like that. That's the exact word i would use. I feel like CB says alot of stupid things, but they don't translate into his play so much. You can see an ego at times on the court, but that's usually with every single NBA player. edited to add; Good job!! jk
He's the Mayor. He's ultra confident, but makes people feel good about themselves when they talk to him. And on the court, he has a calmness that makes teammates feel like they should follow him. When the game is over, he'll compliment his teammates, he'll take blame, he'll give the other team credit. I can see both sides here. He says some things that don't seem modest, yet he usually communicates in a humble manner.
Does this mean that he's indirectly trying to tell us that the cancer for this team since LB's team is Tay. I mean obviously if we have drafted Melo, Tay would not be our starting SF cause Melo will never ever come off the bench. Tay would have been traded if Melo was a Piston.
