Why do u insist on making him out to be the bad guy? He's said more than once that he's fine and not all that bitter about this trade. Maybe you should read a little more.
Why do you insist on making the fans out to be the bad guys? Why can't we all just be happy that Chaunce is in Denver, his home, winning and playing great ball, and the Pistons are starting to gell with AI, and playing pretty good too? That maybe this trade was a win-win?
- I guess it isn't. Clearly Rip liked killing teams softly every nite, as CB put it. Rip knows who buttered his bread. But no one will be happy unless we win it all. And when Rips #s fall, can we start blaming people? When AI tries to win it all by himself, and we see the writing on the wall, will you say, "great, that was the answer" ? I want to see the team succeed, period. But don't talk about ball movement and AI needs more shots or AI anything. Because he is who we thought he was...
I never thought you would become bitter and a hater. Wow. It's just man love bro. You can get over it!
As soon as AI gets us past the ECF, I'll join your crush group. I just don't give up my man love that easily.
I know its tough losing the old Pistons dynamic, especially if a superstar lead team is not your cup of tea. But what if that dynamic was not working anymore? What if they were taking success for granted and were getting beat by other teams that just wanted it more? I don't know if AI will get us to the promised land but at least its something different. At least there is an attempt to improve here. I can handle a playoff loss as long as I know the team gave it their best shot. This whole switch stuff - giving playoff games away and losing to teams that we should have beat was getting old.
That's where the twain split. With out Dyess that's 2 new pieces to the core. Huge new dynamic Pistons.
Since this thread is open, Six games since the blockbuster trade Nuggets 5-1 with the Chancer, Pistons 3-3 with Iverson to be continued.....
The Nuggs were : 05-06 ~.536 45 wins 06-07~ .600 -50 wins- lost first round to Lake 0-4 I think those were the 2 years AI was there. Chaunc should easily surpass that.
I don't know about that Thee. The Nuggs look good right now but Nene will be injured soon enough and Melo has yet to pick up his annual DUI. Give it time my friend, the Thuggets WILL implode.
This argument can't be settled that way b/c they're completely different players. No one can argue AI is the superior talent, but he is the superior player to have on your team ? At the end of the season i guess we can see who manages to take their team farther, but even that's an unfair comparison. The AI/Chauncey debate will go on forever LOL
Not if we win a ship this year. I'm pretty sure that will undoubtedly put an end to the argument. Seriously though with a some real practice, we will be a better team with AI than CB. Not saying we will win it all, but I fully believe our chances are better. Granted I thought our chances were 0 with CB so what the hell, Championship Here we Come!
i could see us winning only ~48 games yet going to the Finals because we're more explosive. Or losing in the first round because we have no discipline.
That's a lot of dead weight! Every tatoo shop in the Denver metro area would go belly-up in a week. (not that I got a problem with tats. ...I'm jus sayin.)
