    From Dan Miller @DanMillerFox2
"Keep a good thought for #MrBigShot. Achilles injury doesn't sound good. Was having fun watching him play for an exciting team. Big blow."

What a shame. His career is winding down, but this might be an early cap on it. Thoughts?

Bummer. That just about does it for the Clippers. And, you're right, probably a tough one to come back from at his age... unless he REALLY wants to. And after his reluctant acceptance to go to LA, I can't see him working up the enthusiasm to make a Grant Hill like comeback.

Heck of a career though if that was it.

Sucks for him. Didn't see it, but they're saying he left on crutches. He's done for the year at the very least, but at his age it could be a career-ender. I feel really bad for him.

    A quick ode:

4th on the list in NBA history in 3 point makes with 1,778 treys (behind Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, and Jason Kidd). Remember hitting a 3-pointer in high school? What a great feeling. Elevate that to college, then the NBA, then multiply it by 1,778.

In his career, 4,656 FGs, 4,438 FTMs and 5,542 assists. Monstrous.

Made the playoffs in his last 11 seasons and on pace to do it as a starter for the 12th time in a row. 140 playoff games in his career as a starter.

Great guy, leader, team stabilizer. Hope he pulls a Jerebko and comes back in a year. His game doesn't depend on jumping ability, so maybe...

I think that dude's got a lot left in him.
I don't think you even need an achillies with the type of game he plays.

Is that the injury that send Isiah Thomas for early retirement?

Zeke had a torn Achilles tendon. Hopefully this is not that bad.

    1. Let Arnie take a look at it.

    2. When I played basketball in school.......we had to fish the ball out of the basket after each successful entry.

    3. He shoulda finished his career here.....I wish anyways......

    4. Chauncey....best wishes....we want to see more of you.

Really bummed about CB ...I was hoping that the Clips could get all the way to the WCF, but with him going down, that means more time for CP3 and then he goes down next....

.The Clippers are looking to signing JR Smith who can possibly replace Chauncey's three ball threat, but the leadership will be lost since JR has no leadership qualities on the floor or the bench.

Maybe we can offer Ben Gordon, Jason Maxiell, and Austin day to the Clips in exchange for DeAndre Jordan (-2015), Ryan Gomes ('13), and Kenyan Martin (expiring)?

We being the Clips don't want Max and Daye, and we being the Pistons don't want Gomes........You see I play both sides:MusicBigGrin:

It's got a little crap for everyone with a position swap at the core of it. We need a shot blocking young big and they need a replacement for Chauncey. What they lose in Jordan, they partially make up for in Max (downgrade for sure, but still useful to minimize the loss there). Daye is the potential that gives them deal fever. He dribbles like Bol, passes like Carmello Anthony, steals the ball like Primo Breszec... but has the stroke of Michaelangelo.

Every team in the playoffs needs a clutch closer like Daye. He's wasted on us since our games don't matter and are rarely close anyway.
