Wade gets knocked down 5 times flops 6 times , gets 11 whistles so he can get up 11 times and get 22 free throws. Nice job if you can get it! What does it take to be the refs' pet?

Jim Rome was talking about this. AI has asked for a trade.

One can hope and nothing against Billups but I would love to see a Billups/Mohamed deal for AI. I think that would work salary wise.

Billups is going to get 15mil or so anyway and it would be great to trade that 30mil mistake the team signed for our starting center. Davis, Maxiel and Johnson can handle that role just fine.

Beside talk about taking things at the Palace up a couple of nothches. It makes sense from a business percpective with increased sales and a contract, although high, that would not be around when the guy is over the hill.

This would top the Sheed deal. Get AI and crown him the new team captain.

I'm not sure that's what they're saying. From the article:
If you believe the source, then trading AI is the primary goal, and getting rid of Webber is a secondary goal. I'm no capologist, but it's hard to imagine one team that could take both AI and Webber. Maybe they could both go in a complex (and fragile) multi-team trade. The crazy thing is this list of the top salaries from hoopshype (I think it's current):

The 76ers have players #2 and #6 and the fifth-worst record in the league.

Iverson in the company with Michael and Wilt. The writer of that line has to be a comedian. That is the funniest thing I have read all week and I have read a lot.

It seems to me that Iverson is at the same level as Pistol Pete.

The writer was just stating fact. Iverson is going on 5 seasons averaging 30 pts or more. Only Michael and Wilt have done that. So he is stating fact. Is Iverson as good as Michael or Wilt? Of course not.

ESPN says that the 76ers have sent Iverson home for at least the next two games. They say he has back spasms (standard fake injury) but he says he wants to play. Sounds like he's finally getting out of there.

For the 76ers to do that they must have a deal in the works with someone.

Just the fact that anyone, much less a Chicago writer would mention another player in comparison in anyway to Michael (and Wilt) I find humorous.

You know Jason Kidd just tied Wilt for 3rd place with the most career triple doubles at 78, behind Oscar and Magic. How many does AI have?

Whoever it is I am sure that AI's agent will get a guaranteed contract, that will guarantee that AI gets at least 30 shots a game. (His career average is about 23+ FG attempts a game + 9+ FTs a game.) That only works out to about 23 + 4 (assuming some of those FTs that were taken resulted from non shooting plays) 27 shot attempts a game.

AI is PO's because he wants at least 30 shots a game. That is why he is demanding a trade.

I have a ton of man love for mr big shot Billups but if we were to lose him for nothing I say make this deal happen 3501576. Billups Dyess and Davis for A.I. You cant trade Nazr untill Dec. 15th I tried and real gm wouldnt let me.

Imo you can risk letting go of Dyess because of Jmax. He showed earlier he could do the things we need him to do. His minutes have gone down only 122 so far but I think he could do some damage. Hell he has more ft attempts than Dyess That to me says he is playing agressive ball. And Dale has seen the court even less than Jmax only 118 minutes of total waste of space.

I know how some of the people harp on the fact that oh well you just want to see this or that guy do well (insert Darko comment here) but I want to see the team do well and you dont get very far if you dont develop your young players.

No way Dice or Davis go. If we're trading for Iverson, we're making a run at a championship. You don't trade away your second-best big man in such a scenario and perhaps your third-best.

You guy's are looking at this and trying to make it to simple. Vary rarely are there one for one trades in the NBA anymore. Remember the Miami Heat 8 team 15 player trade? If we got Iverson a third and maybe a fourth team might have to come into play to make it happen. When we got Sheed we needed a third team in Boston to make it happen. Also Davidson would have to be willing to pay the luxury tax for 2 seasons. That would be our window to get 2 more ships.

My take is if we can't get Chauncey to resign or even talk about terms for a new contract I say deal him. It would be a total embrassment to let 2 All Stars walk and get nothing in return.
