Couldn't Joe have made this deal? He has open roster spots and about 15 2nd round picks in his back pocket. Is there a rule that would prevent Cheikh from being traded back to his old team? Is Samb better than Giant Turd? ...it's at least debatable.
I think their skills are similar but I suspect that the Giant Turd giveaway night at the Palace in November gave KB an an advantage with the fans.
He's young enough to go out and snag 20 rebounds, block 5 shots and score 18 on any given night! ...and dude hasn't really been hurt in 3 or 4 years. ...and his contract expires in 2010. He just might be the difference in the Pistons being able to win while reloading rather than having to wait to win after reloading.
