Second quarter blues in process....Pistons tie it at 21 at the end of 1 and then go scoreless the first six minutes of the second with the second unit scrubs failed to score ...Max, Daye, Ben, Bynum and Wilkens were in there and they needed Tay and Monroe to come in and rescue them. Meanwhile Boozer continue to his shots no matter who was on him....and Gordon continues to rack up fouls... OK back to the BCS game...
Starting the 4th down 9 ,>>>> the same players Max, Ben, Bynum, Wilkens and this time Gordon, and the same result ...no scoring first three minutes due to turnovers and bad decision making. Its obvious that combo of a Max, Ben and Wilkens is going to give you almost nil for the team ranked 30th (last) in the league in scoring.... I wish we could trade Bynum for Lucas..
Once again in the midst of the Fourth Quarter Collapse. Meh. And Greg Monroe has touched the ball all of once by my count.
Hard, REAL HARD being a Pistons Fans in this times.. I don't understand why the stadium was falling in shouts when Scalabrine touch the ball.. every time.. it just make me really angry
Ugh. Missed the game, but maybe that's a good thing. Just looked at the box score, and with the exception of Monroe it looks awful. It seems like the only way we'd become a relevant team again is if we get upgrades at every spot for the starter positions, shift our starters to bench, and our bench to retirement or NBDL.
Don't take it personally, he's their Human Victory Cigar. It's annoying, yes, but it's part of the package being a fan of a team in the midst of a rebuild. Think of it as a bump in the road. They won't be able to do that once the Pistons start winning again.
Watched a minute of a Pistons game for the first time this season. They are just as bad as they look on paper.
After he was picking them apart the first 3 quarters, I was literally screaming at the TV every time they kept ignoring Greg in the 4th. How many turnovers do Bynum, Knight, and Gordon have to commit in a row running some broke-ass play before they feed the guy that was keeping the game close? Monroe goes 5-for-9 w/6 assists and 1TO. Bynum, Knight, and Gordon COMBINE for 5 assists, 12 TOs Maxiell goes 1-for-12 Maxiell gets more shots than Monroe? Infuriating.
Monroe's been a sole bright spot so far. It seems like he's the only Piston that's worth something. Time to cash-in while his value is high and trade him for a combo guard.
Was a decent 3rd quarter Walt. I thought Frank kept Bynum in there too long, trying to buy some time for Brandon who played all but the last 4 seconds of the third. When Bynum's off, it's best to keep him off the floor. The one time I agreed with the crappy Chicago announcers was when Bynum drove into four defenders blind with nowhere to go instead of pulling it back out and setting up the offense. I know Stuckey does that all the time, but Stuck is bigger, stronger and gets the calls whereas Bynum does not. I would suggest switching things up a little so one of Greg or Brandon is on the floor most of the time. BG got a little too fancy with the dribble a few times and turned it over a bunch at the start of the fourth. Austin looked a bit better, at least in the first half. He needs to just take the open shot instead of pump faking and taking a worse shot though, seriously.
NINE points in the 4th qtr!!!!!! We got Tebowed, Scalabrineed by the Bulls.....Scalabrine just happen to come into the game with less than 3 mins left in the contest scrimmage and the Bulls crowd cheered everytime he touched the ball. He finally delighted them with a 10 ft fadeway jumper to cap an embarrasing night for the Pistons who after pulling within 5 pts with a minute left in the third, saw the Bulls run off 11 straight points to lead by 16 before Knight temporarily stopped the Bull run with a trey with about 7+ mins left in the game. After that it looked worst than garbage time for both teams, even though the Bulls were still scoring.
