I agree with you Cloud about flaws being a matter of opinion.

If being inconsistent is a flaw then about 90% of the NBA would fall in that category, including CB.

Deron Williams is a second year pro (16-6 ppg, 8.6 apg) those #`s are a shade better than Mr Big Shot. I will take that especially from a young PG.

Jason Terry, perhaps he is more of a 2 guard, however he does avg 5 apg, and there is no other PG in the league that is more of a chucker than CB!

Chris Paul is a runaway ROY last year (18.4 ppg, 9 apg this year) and yes he is inexperienced as far as the post season is concerned, however, you will not find anyone who believes this kid would choke in a playoff scenario.

I am not saying I would take any of these players over CB, I was just addressing the statement about PG`s with major flaws.

The price of freedom. $7 million dollars as reported by the New York Post. That is how much the Sixers got back from Webber in his buyout.

That may be true, but the Suns are a better defensive team than the Pistons this season.

Edit: Pistons give up 107 points per 100 possessions; 13th in the NBA. Suns 105 points per 100 possession; 8th in the NBA. The Suns may be a small team even with Amare in the lineup, and Nash isn't a good defender by any means, but they play swarming team defense without fouling, rotate extremely well, and D'Antoni will adjust their defensive scheme to limit the effectiveness of post-ups or dribble penetration. Their major problem is defensive rebounding, since they're small and frequently out of position - but they're a better defensive team than the Pistons even with all the putbacks they give up.

That may be true during the regular season, however, I would like to see those stats for the post season.

In a 7 game series defense will be their downfall.....

And by no means am I saying Detroit is better than anyone`s defense!!!!!!!

    From Mlive:

AUBURN HILLS -- An announcement from Chris Webber and his agent, Aaron Goodwin, that he will sign with the Detroit Pistons is expected to be made as early as today. It would be a bit anti-climatic considering the Pistons have been the front-runners to sign Webber since he reached a buyout settlement with the Philadelphia 76ers last week.

Re: Bonzi Wells & Chris Webber coming to Detroit?

I won't believe it until I see a report on ESPN news from Mark Stein :closed_2:

Sundays' LA times did indicate that Cwebb had already spoken to Mitch Kupcake on Friday and would be calling Phil on his cell phone today to discuss minutes and a possble starting gig. That ain't gone happen. He won't start here, and if he does it will be short lived until both Kwame & Odom come back. (I hope I won't be eating my words come Tuesday)

The other front court men in the west will destroy Chris if he has to go up against them every other night. if he wants to play longer and be effective he needs to be in the east BUT NOT MIAMI

WDFN just reported that Cwebb is signing with the Pistons... apparantly he'll be at the game tonight and sign by tomorrow... McCoskey will have something shortly.

Ok now we can start the "what gives" stuff... one big has to go or stew on the pines.
What happens to our Maxiell project?
Recently heard that Dice is a personal friend of KG's... maybe he's the one going to Minny for Jaric... although the trade kicker would complicate things... it would seem like Nazr's contract would be a fair exchange for (gulp) Jaric.
I will say that the Minny boards have had some good things to say about Jaric lately.

I hope CWeb comes to town. What do you guys think of a starting five of Billups, Hamilton, Prince, Wallace, and Webber. I think that would work better than having Mohammed at starting center.

I'm a little concerned about Sheed holding up physically at center for the rest of the year.

No way that isn't the starting lineup.

The Webber's and Jaric's of the world will fit in good with Flip's zone defense. Plus we finally have a post player. With two great passing bigs we can easily run a Sacramento style offense.

Have to say I love Cwebbs court awareness for finding the open man... he could be an excellent mentor for Brahma... see ball...see open player...pass ball... lol

Webber says that he's pain free, and he hasn't felt this good on the court for three years. He's only 33, and he's about to meet Arnie Kander. What kind of C-Webb are we getting?
