Does anyone know which of this years top college players wouldn't mind sitting next year? Once we find that out we'll know who has Piston DNA.

So, "the ultimate" Piston player is a guy who:
    • is a mediocre swingman with great potential that others didn't see
    • is too small to play the 4
    • is too slow to play the 3
    • doesn't shoot well enough to play the 2
    • doesn't mind sitting on the bench for a few years
Man, I can't believe we let this guy get away:

Currently playing on the Idaho Stampede.

He was more valuable than you probably remember though.

We were able to package him + Aron Afflalo for a 2nd round pick in 2011. While we're not feeling the benefits yet, it looks like we might be able to grab this guy:

[SARCASM]I didn't know he played for the Idaho Stampede. They play about 15-20 minutes from me. I'll make sure to check out the next game and send you updates on him. I'm excited.[/SARCASM]

I'm only 600 or so miles away from the Treasure Valley. Maybe you and I can attend a game together.

Here is a pretty good article from the Free Press today about the Pistons coaching.

A bunch of overpaid whiners mail in a game to the Celtics. The coach has the gall to point this out to the media. And the sniping begins. Pathetic.

    Ding, ding, ding.

It certainly is a lot easier to put the blame on the coach than admit the talent isn't so talented and was organized by the beloved legend. Good to see someone taking a stand for Q, or at least against the player's behavior.

Unfortunately it seems like a trend with this team.

Players need to be accountable, but so does the coaching staff. Kuester hasn't been accountable. He's putting it ALL on the players and taking none of them blame for all these fourth quarter meltdowns. And it's wrong. Poor coaching has definitely played a part in this.

Wow. Real good stuff. The Pistons won't be granting the writer any exclusive interviews any time soon. (Does he normally cover the Pistons)?

    I'm assigning the blame at:
    60% players
    40% coach

*(that's if you exclude the GM variable witch is sort of excusable due to the current ownership situation)*

Did anyone notice the change in tone during the post game interview? The vid is on Pistons.com. Q seemed MUCH more optimistic. I hope Joe D isn't coming down on him alone.

Teams need to go through some tough times to get better after a long run> Lakers, Kobe was acquired via trade and at the time it was a bad trade, remember the days when Cedric Ceballos was the best player on the Laker Roster. In Portland, Aldridge, Roy, Oden, all lottery picks, Boston traded Lottery Picks to form their championship contenders, I say that to say this, while a trip or two to the lottery is neccessary to rebuild it doesn't have to be this screwed up. It seems as if Joe's bad moves continue to compound. Q isn't a good coach, but he's better than Michael Curry, so he's a decent coach, coaching a less than decent team .......... boy are we in a mess, If Joe would just admit we're rebuilding, move out the old, so Q can start playing the young guys (at their position) we could move through this process faster.

The team's dismal start can be blamed equally on players and the coach.

But, the Atlanta loss is completely on Q.

You are up on the road against a better team with 6 minutes to go in the 4th. You have a weak defender in CV on the court trying to defend some of the premier big men in the league while two good defensive bigs in Wallace and Maxiell sitting on the bench. You make the sub. Put either Wallace or Max in to maintain the lead. This isn't rocket science.
