Your concern about his hairstyle was insightful. :D

You and I both are happy this clown will be back to clowning around on the TV.

Seriously. What is with this lady? He lets himself get courted by the Bulls, even takes the job, then runs back home scared. Now the same here. At least he didn't hold us hostage until it was too late to find anybody else. I guess Avery is the frontrunner unless Joe has something up his sleeve.

I thought I remember him pulling his name out of the race a couple years ago as well.

edit: thanks Coyne. that's what it was.

I get chils when I hear his name too.I don't see Sam Mitchell or Collins geting us to the finals or evan to con.f.They are not bad choaches but not for the team like Pisotns.

Good news! Collins serves the B-ball world best as a TV analyst and that is where I hope he stays.

I would have liked Collins to coach. My next choice is Avery Johnson.

I agree. I think Collins would have worked. My next choice is VanGundy.

I'd love Avery, becouse he knows how to work with young guys,he knows how to have a word in the team and I think he can make Stuckey a true point guard not a Combo Guard.Yes Averys Mavs didin't play real D,but he showed that we don't need Celtics,Spurs or old Pistons D to go far and for now we need only to see a light in the tunel.

Collins is an emotional cripple. He probably pulled out because he did not see Joe signing a superstar. Collins needs a superstar to assume some of the heat that coaches are bound to get.

This new team needs a real coach, a proven coach and somone who can stand up to the team and Joe. I think the future is looking up. Now we just need to get rid of Tay and Rip

Collins coached Rip in Washington. Collins loves Hamilton, and he always gushes over him when he broadcasts Pistons games.

The Gordon pickup was probably a sign to Doug that Rip was on the way out, and he didn't want ETSA to call him TGDC.

That makes sense. Ernie would have been all over TGDC.

That makes sense. I take back what I said about Doug Collins being a lady.
