It's been mentioned in plenty of posts. I, for one, want him moved. His time is up here with the inconsistent play that has plagued the team at the worst of times. Last night was the last straw. I figure Joe D. had a plan already and now might implement it.

As fans, I just want to see who can come up with the best guess or figure out what would be the best deal. Figure his contract in (correct me if I'm wrong--is it expiring?) and get us a good CONSISTENT player.

Some suggestions I thought of here:

Trade him for Okafor to Charlotte and reunite him with LB.

Trade him to the Clippers or just get Chris Kaman.

3 Way trade: Send him to Miami--Miami sends Marion to Knicks---and we get Zach Randolph.

Not sure of the money here, someone can shoot it down or help make it work for my suggestions, please.

    Please don't get too silly.:sssh:

    Rasheed Wallace for Ben Wallace?

I think they both will make about the same amount since Ben's contract was frontloaded and Sheeds was backloaded. Ben has 2 years left and Sheed only has 1.

Lets face it. Both players have seen better days. The 08 versions of Wallace X2 is a far cry from the duo that terrorized the league in 04 and 05 but they can still play.

Its going to be hard to move Sheed anyway and bringing Ben back would help stabalize the frontcourt that could feature Maxiel , Amir Johnson and Chic Samb next year. Ben still shows up for every game.

Just a thought. If we can get a nice young center for Sheed then go for it, but I doubt it. His value plummeted this post-season I fear.

The more I look at my trades, the more I realize how difficult it probably is for both sides to agree on something.:ohwell:

Randolph wouldn't fit with the Pistons at all. He's a loose cannon, and is inconsistent.

Ben would return to dominance if he returned to Detroit. He didn't fit in with Chicago, and he plays a very minor role in Cleveland.

A couple of things related to this post:
-If you look at our cap structure you can see that next year we will have 2 expiring contracts. The two contracts are our two oldest contributors: Sheed and Dyes. These two contracts are very powerful because they will help us, or any trade partner, clear cap space for the great Summer of LBJ/DWade/CBosh Free Agency (next next Summer).
-Do we think that the Pistons, with a promising young point/combo guard in Stuckey (a very important thing for all these NBA Sanctioned Stars) can make a run at any of these guys? If so, we must plan accordingly.
-Additionally, with Dyes and Sheed we can do a sign and trade or a superstar trade with their combined value equal to some 19mil.

    ...Some things to consider...

    I like.

How about Sheed, Tay, Dixon and Samb for Brand and Kaman..........???

I don`t know how the numbers would work, just throwing it out there.

I said Sheed for Brand a little while ago and folks wanted me shot!

    Keep Prince, trade Sheed.
A spot up shooter wouldn't hurt as well, I'm liking Kapono but I doubt we can get him.

    Wallace
    Dalembert
    Brand
    Kaman
    Okafor

Out of that list, I think Okafor would shine on our team, imagine him with Maxiell in the middle.

How about a straight up swap, Rasheed for Camby?

    RealGM: Trade Checker

It works, Rasheed's expiring contract for the Nuggets would surely be tempting, and Marcus Camby would give us a much needed defensive monster in the post.

    To quote Charles Barkley

"Why does everyone keep calling them the big 3. Bird, Robert Parish and Kevin McHale were the big 3."

Give away Sheed, Dixon, some money and maybe a second round pick since Phoenix is rebuilding, bring STAT. I bet Amare wants to gtfo from there.

Steve Kerr messed up big time by trading Marion. I'm not sure he'd want to trade away his franchise player..
