So far I am coming up blank on finding any evidence that Curry likes any of our young players, or will play any of them. Which means I am still of the mind to boycott the team next year.

Anyone got any evidence that Curry will play Amir, Afflalo, Stuckey, Maxiell, Samb, and whoever we draft this summer?

You know, playing them a lot does give you the option at anytime to use them when someone else just ain't getting it done. (In other words, maybe, just maybe, Curry saying he would sit a non-interested starter means he plans to keep the young guys involved.)

Now, mind you, I do not for a second even believe in the whole "Flip the Switch" thing. Studying film, I find pretty darn constant effort from our starters, as long as our starters have a script from the coach of what to do. (With no leadership, frenetic movement for movement's sake is rather pointless. Someone has to be directing what is going on.)

I believe players are human, imperfect creatures like all the rest of us. Playing them too much is never a good idea. Letting young guys shoulder some of the load lets the older vets play that much more energetically and more focused in their resulting shorter minutes. (Althoug again, it does take a coach or a leader on the team letting people know what they are suppose to be doing from moment to moment before you will ever get the most out of a player while he is on the floor.)

I don't understand what Curry has done to lead you to believe he won't play our young players. Innocent until proven guilty around these parts, bro.

Joe is guilty until proven innocent. Been a whole lot of years promising change that has not happened.

Again, I am asking for evidence Curry will play the young players. Do you have any or not?

Lee, i don't think you have to worry about it. Joe made a huge deal out of Amir and some of the young guys not getting PT.

Curry is essentially going to be an extension of Joe. I expect to see plenty of Amir/AA next year.

He's done nothing unless you're one of those weirdoes that counts working with all the young players before every game and after practices.

Yeah, and he worked them so hard that they had nothing left to give us in the games. To me, all that was a joke. Why not actually play them in games some to keep them in game shape?

He has not yet had the chance to play ANYONE yet.

Don't hold Joe's "past sins" against the new coach. Your request is unreasonable and ridiculous.

Why is the burden not on you to prove Curry guilty rather than others to prove him innocent? Seems logical since he was just announced as coach a couple of days ago.

I'll keep the rest of my thoughts to myself...or Roscoe will need to intervene.:sssh:

Lee! The guy has spent the last few years working with the young guys that were apparently your pride and joy.

Show me evidence that the young players had nothing left to give in the playoffs because Curry overworked them. All I remember is people complaining in here because they weren't being given the chance to spell the supposedly overworked stars. I think you are barking up this tree WAY prematurely here.

And by the way, we don't have this burden of proof on us to support the assertion that Curry will play them, because we never said that it was a given that he will. Your opening statement strikes me as a classic example of the "argument from ignorance" logical fallacy.

edited to add: If I were Curry, and the young guys on our team had complained because the assistant coach had "overworked them" during the season, I would TAN THEIR HIDES!!!

Just a funny Amir interview/quote since we're talking about the young guys . . .

Depends on which young players we are talking about. Stucky and Amir will play next season. Afflalo will play if he develops a jump shot.

Don't expect the Pistons to become the D-league team of the NBA though.

Lee, from team perspective it would be very bad policy to announce by coach publicly, who gets time and who not.

I don't think Amir is a Mike Curry kinda player.

Curry knew how to help the team without getting on the stat sheet....

Now AA is a Curry man.
Curry would try and stop the other teams players from scoring.
Which also stopped him from scoring.

I don't want to get involved in this discussion as it is kind of fruitless, especially before we see what Curry is actually going to do.

Are you saying that Amir knows how to get on the stat sheet without helping the team? :stirthepot:
