    I agree.

    But he ain't going nowhere.

Bill Davidson should open up the pocket book and pay whatever it takes to get him here.

Send Airball One, Joe Dumars and 500 of those chocolate covered strawberries that Joey Harrington likes to eat.

    We can woo him.

JVG proved in NYK that he can maximize a team's abilities in the playoffs. I don't know if he's the answer, but as pointed out, winning coaches are hard to find and the proven guys are locked up or retired.

Lets have a new coach every year and all new players too .. Constant change is the answer to sucess, right?? I would think that the better the players know the coach, the better they can learn from him. And the longer players play together , the better the chemistry. Lets give our team a chance.

I'd like to see the player/coach come back into fashion.

    Dave Debusschere Biography

What a stud! Youngest coach in NBA history at the age of 25! Pitched 2 seasons with the White Sox and 2 with the Cubs.

    Check out this guy's biography.

So, we could make Tay the coach. Then, when he's sick of this gig, the Tigers can sign him up.

Player/coaches are unfortunately no longer allowed (in an official capacity) as it is seen as a workaround of the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Players are not allowed to supplement their salaries by taking on additional positions with the franchise.

Oh, that's a loophole I didn't think of. Makes sense.

I think that the next Pistons' coach will be Flip Saunders, i.e., Dumars will give him a contract extension sometime in the future before Flip's current contract runs out.

    :hoops:

You also think Iverson cares only about how many shots he gets. One doesn't need to watch more than 10 minutes of a game he's playing in to know how untrue that us.

I guess things change over the years. When the Pistons hired Daddy Rich he certainly wasn't an elite coach. In fact he never won anything other than with the Bad Boys. I guess things just change over time.

    :hoops:
