From yahoo.com sports... On Tuesday, some Cleveland fans offered to pitch in to help Gilbert pay the penalty. Gilbert issued a statement of thanks. “The humbling offer by so many is another reflection of the strength of Cavs fans and the people who live and work in this region and are always the first to step up and have each other’s back,” Gilbert said. “I will pay this fine myself, but would be grateful and highly appreciative for any fan who redirects the dollars they kindly offered to contribute towards this fine to the Cavaliers Youth Fund, which will positively impact our region’s kids through the numerous local charitable groups the Cavaliers Youth Fund supports.”
Through all of this we learned Bron aint running the Cavs. He couldn't even tell Izzo is was interested. But the unholy union of Bron, Wade and Bosh is a big score for the players.
Re: Bryan Colangelo blasting off Bryan Bashes Bosh Toronto Raptors GM Slams Chris Bosh — BetUS Locker Room
Gilbert and Colangelo need to get some Haagen-Dasz, snuggle up with a blanket on their couch and cry away some Bette Midler movies to get over this.
Re: Bryan Colangelo blasting off Nothing seemed to work. Yeah, big men are usually successful when you completely fail to surround them with quality guards or one quality defender. Colangelo jas been terrible as the Raptors GM. I get how hard it is to get American players to stay in the city, but that doesn't mean go out and get every offensive oriented international player you can find. What I don't get is if you think he checked out and wasn't going to re-sign, why didn't you trade him?
Outclasses LeBron? Lol. I wonder how many wins that translates to. Z saying goodbye isn't a big enough story without bringing up Bron I guess. I'm loving this. Lebron soon followed and took out an ad thanking Akron. LeBron James of Miami Heat takes out ad thanking people of Akron, makes no mention of Cleveland - ESPN
Alas, first step towards being a non-person. The only problem is, the letter makes LeBron look even worse than before, and you know what that means: ESPN will shortly wipe Ilgauska from the face of the earth, announce he will never run again, blame it on a journalist, and then pretend he never existed.
I am beginning to think that Lebron never liked Cleveland. He must know that he has (had) a lot of fans in Cleveland. Don't know why his posse did not advise him to thank Cleveland on the hour long special. Something must be wrong upstairs.
figured it fit in here as well as anyplace else.... on fri the miami heat fired there whole season tickets sales staff, which numbered 30 because no tickets were left to sell. Nice kick in the butt to some hard working folks.... I blame it on James too!!!!!!!
Yeah I posted that story earlier in the New Miami heat thread http://www.pistonsforum.com/nba-stuff/11096-new-miami-heat-18.html maybe they should rehire them as maintenance since the arena will be full every game
