i'd play him the first game.... then sit him in a suit till the last game of the year, then call a time out with under a min to go to insert him... just to draw it out.... plus think of the sports center stories.....

Miles played 14 minutes last night and scored 13...not bad. One more game till he breaks the Portland cap.

Lebron James has come out in support of Miles and criticized POR Management for the handling of the situation. I wonder if they really did burn some bridges. The after effect will be interesting.

Wow. 13 points in limited minute in your first game back after a career ending injury is very impressive.

I guess it wasn't just that they were screwing with Portland. Maybe they actually want him on their team.

This is a pretty interesting way of looking at it:

You mean if we had sign him to that 10 day over the weekend, Mr. D would have gotten the $200K and a victory last night as Miles 13 points would have been more than our hi paid starters scored in the 4th qtr last night??:diablo:

Thats another way of looking at it...naw it would not have happen, he is to tall for small ball. :movingon:

I believe that we will actually get more than $200K, because we won't have to actually pay him anything for 10 days and we still get the luxury tax distribution. So, Bill D make slightly more money the way he played it, even knowing that it would probably result in a 2 point loss for us.

That's it...he reached Portland's magic number tonight. 14 minutes, 10 points, and 7 rebs, with a steal and a block as exclamation marks.

the numbers he's put up the 2 games there.... is there much doubt that he's a NBA player?

wish we could have one of our young bench players get those type of rebounds in limited mins.

Portland are dumb, they have no case in court anyway. The dude can play. The whole point of getting the relief was that he couldn't play so, unless he'd hobbled around the court for 10 games the email was just a waste of time

Darius will be a free agent on Monday, maybe Joe should consider making him an offer before he signs another 10 day contract?
