yeah, i know..lol. I'll keep trying.
I wonder if you have any idea that you didn't come close to answering the question.
I'll give one excuse. He has not played.
All 21 points by Darko were in the paint, including his 9-9 free throw shooting. Darko did have two delayed fast break buckets. Darko contributed to 40 points of Orlando's scoring, 21 points himself, nine off his assists, 6 off a 2nd pass after an alert kickout of a doube team, and 3 from free throws made after someone was fouled under the basket after a Darko pass.
I gotta get started on my prediction for the Detroit-Olando game. I think I'll wait until after the Orlando-NYK game to see how things look before posting my predictions. Putting them right in the thread is ok though?
TIEBREAKER: Darko-point system 1 point = 1 point 1 rebound = 1 point 1 assist = 2 points 1 steal = 2 points 1 block = 2 points For the combined 2 game set against Detroit- Jammertime guesses DM will amass 53 Darko-points Jackattaq guesses he will get 64 Darko-points So the over/under is 58.5 points. No chance of a further tie. As an example, we'll take Darko's game last night against the Knicks: 12 points = 12 points 7 rebounds= 7 points 1 assist = 2 points 1 steal = 2 points 1 block = 2 points TOTAL = 25 Darko points.
lol darko points?
It's just a way to make his point total sound bigger. I almost included "screens set" as being worth points, but that would just cause trouble.
There isn't a chance he gets above 35 Darko points.
TaShawn, we might have to adopt your Darko points methodology as forum standard. It will be useful when gauging Amir, Max and we could even go back and do historical analysis on Rodney White and Mateen Cleaves!
When computing Darko Points, what about: (1) Shots that looked really nice when leaving Darko's hands (2) Darko passes that led to passes that led to passes that eventually led to made baskets (3) Points that are scored by teammates that wouldn't have been scored if not for the mere presence of Darko on the floor If we're going to judge Darko, you have to factor in all of the intangibles. Including only statistics used by the simple minds does not do justice to what Darko truly brings to the table.
I think I want to vomit again.
Going with TaShawn's formula, I'll say Darko goes for 20 DP tonight and 26 DP tomorrow night, a grand total of 46 DP for the 2-game set. I'll also say that Darko will average 47.3 DP48 (Darko Points per 48 minutes).
Yeah, I think Darko will have a one game high in this set of 32 DP. But he will be under 24 DP in the other match. It's hard to decide which one.
You're really some kind of masochist. Every post, you complain about the contents of the thread, how it makes you physically ill, and yet you are drawn to it, like Chauncey Billups to a pull up transition 3 pointer.
That's not even the half of it. Sometimes I wear mismatched socks to work too. :nerd2: I guess when it comes to Darko...I'm that dude who holds up traffic trying to get a glimpse of the disaster. Yep, this Darko mania has made me go insane. No doubt about it. lol. By the way, my ill comment was really geared toward the fact that Darko gets his own point system. I find it incredible how much attention this guy gets. Its like hearing someone sing the praises of Kurt Rambis's impact on the championship Lakers versus Magic's. Drives me nutz!
Next, the Rambis/Nevitt system!
I'm definitely in favor of tracking these. After all, once it leaves your hand who knows what will happen. There could be breezes, low flying aircraft, the occasional indoor blimp, and what about those annoying shotblockers? I agree, if you can shoot a pretty shot, that ought to count for something.
So we have the DHOFers, the DHaters, and now the DGawkers. Why don't we all agree to just let this 2 game set arbitralily settle the debate once and for all and give an official PF.com consensus. Even though it's not fair and doesn't mean anything statistically, we need a conclusion to this. If the DP's for the 2-games come in less than Jammer's guess (53), then let's say he is a bust. If they come in above Jackattaq's guess (64), we will all assume that he will be in the Hall of Fame someday, it's just a matter of time. And if it is somewhere in between, then both sides were officially right the whole time in a strange paradoxical way. I'll abide by that. This is a proposal for an end to the Dark War. Tear down that wall.
