    No can do.

Whether he does horribly or very well over trhe next two games, doesn't amount to anything other than bragging rights for the extremists on either end of the Darkometer.

It really isn't a middle ground anyhow. It favors the DHOF since the nonDHOF have almost 3 years of history on their side. The DHOF has nothing to lose.

My concern is that if we stop talking about Darko, we'll lose lazyberbs to the Orlando forum, and probably have to open up a politics/religion forum here so people will have something to attack one another over.

I was thinking that it favored the haters because he isn't bloody likely to get more than 64 DP's.

That would be an average of 32 DP's per game.

    18 points
    8 rebounds
    1 assist
    1 steal
    1 block

for 2 games in a row. We're talking back-to-back career games for him.
This is more DP's than all of the Piston players average, except for our all-stars, Rip and Chauncey.

    Sheed- 29.44
    Tay- 28.66
    CWeb- 29.62
    Dyess- 16.2
    Rip- 35.50
    CBill- 39.58

If he can accomplish this on-the-spot, under the microscope, with revenge on his mind, then he deserves to win you over.

However, if he wilts, and has a Dyess/Delfino-like performance, then I will swallow my pride and admit that we f'd up by drafting him, were right to bench him, and were smart to cut bait while we could.

If you don't want a cease-fire, then maybe you are the protagonist here.

    Follow the roadmap to peace.

I think you mean the "antagonist"?

At any rate, I don't think I become the bad guy simply by not agreeing to your terms of peace. :ner-ner:

I'm not a DHOF nor am I a hater. Some people refuse to see that the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

    Antagonist. Thanks.

I gave you a middle ground: 53-64 DP's. That's a wide, fertile valley of consideration.

I could talk about this for years... and have. I just thought you were getting sick of it and would welcome a termination date. I totally understand if you are afraid of LAD (life after Darko).

Personally, I'd rather not have it resolved because I don't want to take a chance on any escalation of the BenHaters vs. BenDefenders conflict, which has recently been downgraded by the United Nations to an ongoing civil disturbance.

It's like when you are playing a game with someone and you're kicking their ass, then someone will say 'next score wins' and they get it.
All of a sudden they get bragging rights. And for what? Happening to score last?

Thats why games last longer than 1 possession. Something about a sun and a dog's something-or-other...

Only 2 all-star caliber performances in a row would save Darko here, and yet there is hesitation from the detractors. You guys are really starting to lose your swagger.

I'd be willing to bet he'll come up short.

My guess is about 9 points, 4 boards, an assist and a block. Ho hum.:bored:

Guess who joined the DHOF club tonight?
That's right, George Blaha, who verbally voted 'yes' to the question "Will Darko Milicic become an all-star?" What a moron. Kelser quickly chimed in with the correct answer though.

the best part was when the vote turned up 74% yes, and then they were like oooooops, that graphic is wrong. i dunno how darko got credited with 2 blocks and 2 steals though...i don't remember any.

Yeah, that graphic switch was classic. I was all, "WTF? 3/4 of the Pistons fans voting on this are in the DHOF? Oh, wait a minute, graphics malfunction, no wonder..."

I do remember Darko rejecting Delfino on one drive to the hoop.

I think the NBA is finally starting to recognize Darko's shot-changing presence and it is crediting him with blocks for his alteration of shots.

That's a vote of confidence. Kudos to Darko.
