    If that trade went through, Darko would be on the first plane back to Europe.

    It ends this season. With the way the Knicks will play him, people will realize that he is a good player, but not worth the #2 pick.

    So the bust label will fade, and the over reach on the draft pick will grow. In other words Darko's infamy shrinks, Joe's questionable choices grow.

    So if Darko really flames out it hurts Joe's reputation and if he does well it also hurt's Joe's reputation?

    Yea...no matter what happens, this guy isn't good enough to justify his place in the draft. That leaves a lot of room for him to be pretty good though.

    At this point, Darko's destiny is his. He has a contract, he is in the NBA. What he does with it, is up to him.

    Whenever I see him or read one of his interviews, he comes across as miserable. Miserable about the game. There is so little joy in being in America, being in the NBA etc for him.

    Until he finds comfort and happiness he's not going to be successful. No one can be successful and miserable over the long haul.

    That comfort has to come from being able to deal with reality. To accept circumstances and your place within them. That's really the act of maturation in a nutshell. Whatever Darko wanted to be, can be, should have been, all that matters is what he can be today. He can't change his past, but he can squander his future. For his sake, I hope he doesn't. I don't care if it makes the Pistons look bad (big whoop) if he carves out a nice career for himself.

    I don't think the Pistons are furthered by seeing Darko flop.

    Usually by the 3rd team that stigma is diluted enough. As with Kwame. No one in Detroit cares that he was once the 1st pick. To us he is just some guy we signed to a reasonable 2 year deal to play a few mins a game. There must be something Darko is doing wrong.

    As Roscoe said, Darko do not enjoy himself in USA mentally and seems that his stomach has allied with his brains.

    Remember what happened to Rodney White when he played with an upset stomach.

    If you're going to post Darko numbers, you must convert to 48 minutes stats.

    Also, if an upset stomach was involved, you need to multiply all first half stats by the constant PEPTO_BISMOL=1.875;

    Darko's stats are always deceptive. His preseason has been great if you look at the AOTG stats but he has been weak in the other, less important areas. Also I believe many of his missed shots had good rotation and almost went in.

    Only thing deceptive about Dinko's stats is that anyones still paying him to create them in the NBA.....oh wait we're talking Knicks right? (my bad..)
