Darko should flourish in NY.
NY fans will crucify him -- if he plays. He'll wish he was back in the Palace listening to fans hoping for some - any - effort out of him during garbage time.
I really think he could be much better. Lousy attitude. LB had it right.
Congratulations! You have started the 1,000,000th Darko thread at Pistonsforum.com. As your reward, we will be sending you a complimentary copy of Darko's new book entitled "Blood Flow, War Zones, and Pre-game Threes."
Word on the street is, this move was to position themselves to lure LeBron next year.....
upside is he can drive a cab at night to make a few extra bucks..
all jokes aside. this is a perfect fit for darko finally a coach that will let darko be darko. the new york fans will love him because darko is fiery. darko is an exciting player that can do it all.
I think they let Darko be Darko when he played for Greece. Who can forget this Darko sound bite:
YouTube - Milicic - Greek Subtitles
I hope this works for him. I might actually go to a Knicks game this year. I don't think i've ever seem Darko actually play more 2 minutes in person.
All true. But the struggle for Darko has always been the jealousy of his teammates.
My question is: Will Darko's Knick teammates allow him to be the fiery and exciting player that he is someday destined to be? Or will jealousy, once again doom the Serbian Swat Machine?
Hmmm ... seems like a bunch of people believed this back in 2003, too. Hard to believe so many NBA coaches could be wrong about this guy since then, and you're somehow right about him.
This is exactly what I'm talking about! You're just jealous because Darko is so fiery..admit it gazoo.
Sure, I wish I was fiery like him too but I try to be realistic about it.
He sure was fiery back in the days of the draft...
all of darko's coaches have been fired. so it isn't hard for me to believe that he was misused.
Well, this is pretty much the last straw. If he can't thrive under D'Antoni, I think that will be the nail in his NBA coffin.
naw he'll float around the league for years to come. he'll always under achieve, but there will always be a spot for him on somebody's bench. Heck 5 more fouls to use on a real big man!
LB hated rooks, didn't want the pick
Flip Hated anyone not in the starting 5
Some dude from Orlando Loved Tony Batitte, nuf said
Iavaroni forced to play Darrel Arthur and Marc Gasol because of ownership. Decided Darko was better and earned more pt, got canned
Hollins The only coach I'd prefer Curry over. Likes slow immobile centers that cant d up but have a nice 5 foot game.
Dantoni, a winner, wants to run, and WANTS Darko. cant wait to watch the games. will send court side pics.
BTW with the court side seats you get to stand next to the players, derrick fisher comes up to my shoulder, and I'm 6-2, and D Howards mom is about 6 inches taller than me, no lie.
Mike Celizic: "Milicic isn’t the most dominating center, and what he lacks in scoring touch he makes up for with mediocre rebounding."
Yeah, and as of today, all of Darko's teams have fired him. He's batting a thousand.
I own hot sauces more fiery than this guy. He's the kind of fiery that is like an angry Scotty barking and running along side you as you ride your bike past his fence...boy, if he could just get on the other side of that fence....you're in for it.
