He's probably bragging about how he taught Darko everything he knows through his old school 'break em down and rebuild em' technique. He probably mentioned the smoking habit too. Tough decision for BK.

I hope if Darko goes to Philly, those Sixers fans don't harm is fragile psyche, cheering things like, "Darko, Darko" to compel the coach to get him into the game. That can be rough. Probably won't be a problem as I expect Darko to start every game, start the All-Star game and single-handidly lead Philly to the ECF. Looking further into Darko's future, he will win over the Philly fans, running through the streets in an orange-striped sweatsuit with legions of Sixers fans following him. Eventually, city leaders will bronze a statue of Darko (next to that other guy) and Darko will run up those steps but will have trouble making it because of his cigarette habit. Darko has a bright future ahead of him. Go ahead, BK, pull the trigga.

From what I've heard Billy King is bending over backwards for Darko....he even said he could smoke during the timeouts.

Next to N.Y., Philadelphia is probably has the toughest fans to please. They can be merciless on their athletes that don't meet their expectations.

Clubber Lang (as played by TheLow) will be in the crowd.

Clubber Lang: "Don't give that sucker no statue, give him guts!"

Darko: (shows Clubber his Pistons championship ring) I just vant to play!

Clubber Lang: What did you say Paper Champion? I'll beat you like a dog. A dog, you fool!

Otis Smith is a freaking moron. Whether you like Darko or not, Otis did, or wouldn't have offered Arroyo, a bunch of garbage, and another 1st round pick to clear space to resign Darko.

But the idiot he is, he played too much hardball, that Darko wouldn't take the money, even if it was the most he'd make.

It's the same thing we did to Alan Houston. I'll never understand why GMs don't negotiate in good faith with players they want. Thankfully Joe doesn't play that way. He's up front with we'll pay this much, we won't match this much. None of the mind games, not counting the coaches.

BTW, Memphis is starting to look scary, if they can keep everyone healthy.

Conlely Jr. pg, Mike Miller SG, Rudy Gay SF, Pau Gasol PF, DMC C.

Darko and Okur on next years All-Star team?

Darko averaged 8 points and 5 boards last year and he still didn't make it to the AllStar game....what more can the guy do.

Wrong, bills. I do believe Darko qualified for the Potential Upside All-Star Classic for Misunderstood Future Superstars. He scored 8 pts. and grabbed 5 boards.

Yes its the end result of it all. They could have tried to dump some salary during the season or extended him last summer. And I find it hard to believe that they could not have worked out a S&T right from the start if they were willing to throw in a 1st round pick. Everyone likes 1st round picks. Even if they could have worked something out now it sounded like they already burned that bridge last week with Darko's agents comments.

Exactly. This is actually a great signing for Mem. Darko will fit in well with that team. He can run the floor, and play the post defense Gasal lacks.

I'm excited to see this. I can't help it. I still root for Darko.

I expect Pau to double his points as well as rebounds....expect a lot of off the glass assists from Darko.

    "Darko days ahead"

    My affliction is spreading.

AOTG gets a real laugh out of Dumars4Ever. He loves that stat.
