It seems like we barely knew you Darrun. Good luck in the Finals next year!

CP3, Harden, and Hilliard... another superteam.

I hope CP3 and Harden are willing to defer as this becomes Darrun's team.

So Houston gets Hilliard and all they have to do is consider giving some cash for him?

The Detroit franchise, even post-Darko and post-Dumars, has a lot more class than Portland and Philadelphia, two joke franchises who have to laugh about selling players for money to save a little face with their ticketholders.

Just never took advantage when he got time on SVG's floor.
I always thought he was a better shooter (still do) then what he displayed.
Our first ambidextrous fellow did not turn out well; let us be determined that the second fellow in line will be the answer (Luke K).
    Best of luck to him.

Hillard was solid his 1st year. He didn't look good last year, but that goes for the whole team.

It's a bad day for the basketball ops when you're letting the 38th pick of the draft go for nothing.

He looked comfortable this season. I could see him playing well for them.

For every 2nd rounder that makes it in the NBA, there are 10 guys that don't even suit up. Hilliard is redundant after the Kennard draft.

It wouldn't surprise me if Houston cuts him and he signs back with the Pistons.

I thought Sheed was ambidextrous too, I mean sort of. He could use either hand to shoot threes, anyway.

I was going to ask about that in my post. Can he re-sign with us? Is it allowed now because they haven't started the new season yet?

We need to start hitting on these draft picks if we wish to add some real talent to the team. All we got out of this trade was this thread and a tiny bit farther away from the luxury tax.

Maybe Hilliard would be in line for one of those two way contracts.

Can someone explain the point of cash considerations? Does it just literally mean the franchise made a little extra money on top of not paying the guy they just traded away? Or are there cap-related effects as well?

No cap-related effects. It is just extra money on the bottom line.
