What's my agenda? That JJ is the 9th best player on the team? I'm not calling for him to be benched or anything.

Maybe Kuester has been looking at these numbers and decided to take a 2nd look at Maxiell. After all, JM's +/- are above most of the guys that he is usually paired with and JJ's are below the starters that he spends most of his time with.

I don't mind JJ being put on ice for a week or two, ONLY if this time is used to showcase guys we intend to trade. (Max, Rip, Tay, etc)

If nothing has changed by the end of the month I don't see the point.

Oh...and as far as plus/minus, I don't pay attention to it in basketball. In hockey it makes a lot of sense to me, in basketball, no.

I will absolutely defend him. He's absolutely earned the right to play every night.

Daye should be playing too, but I guess the organization's belief is that we're much better off letting Prince and Hamilton both play 36+ minutes a night, rather than developing our young guys. :nerd2: :tsk: :help2:

So we're showcasing Maxiell in favor of playing our young guys? Why not just show the league some youtube clips?

Maybe these will convince people that Max can still play... :sssh:

Not accusing you of an agenda... you seem to report on both sides of the ledger (no previous record of hating on JJ... which I'm guilty of).... an agenda is when someone refuses to recognize another perspective once they have their mind made up... then using the +/- only when it suits their argument.
Sorry for even bringing this up... I'm feeling pretty good about the pieces for the future, including JJ... even better if we can improve our FA flexibility... this may be acomplished by showcasing some of our less desirable contracts (possibly justifying less pt for JJ for a short time)

    Keep 'em comin' TaShawn :^)

For now I'm just listening to the music- but seriously I enjoy reading everyones post (almost daily) I'll try to post every now and then but you guys seem to have a little better insight and knowledge of the piston land than I do.

Don't let your perceived lack of knowledge prevent you from posting frequently.

Yes, some people around here know a whole lot. Usually they are the ones that don't act like they do.

Some know little and don't hide the fact. (Like me).

A few people know nothing but act like they know everything. (This is the minority group I just can't stomach).

Obviously you are in one of the first two groups, so please post often. :) Welcome.

    Thanks Darth Tater !!
Sorry for not following this tread on my first posts, I planned on watching the game tonight until the wife informed me (not more than 5 min ago) that were going out. Anyway I am really curious how many minutes jj will play tonight - it has to be tough going from starter to garbage minutes same scenario for a lot of piston players this year and last year.

    Just "Darth"

    or Just "Tater".

Nobody calls me Darth Tater except my mom and Rascoe (he's the night watchman around here) when they are mad at me.

Welcome to the forum, Whitepine. I fall into the "A few people know nothing but act like they know everything." group on Darth Tater's list. I don't take it too personally though, because I know old Tater is an Eagles fan.

I'm a big fan of Daye too..

JJ should play 20 - 25 minutes por night and Daye 15 (and if in those minutes he played nice, well, he could have more minutes)
