We could be using Chase Budinger as a SF..

I think Summers will going to be a good player in the NBA.

Even more so for Daye. He will become an offensive juggernaut.

You do realize there was talk that he could have been a first rounder, but everyone wanted to stash him in Europe and he wanted to cut his teeth in the NBA.

That is one reason he kept falling. He had a deal with the Bobcats that they would take him and he could play in the NBA...Dumars assured him when they talked to his agent that he would be in the NBA this year, and that is why he is here.

Most had him pegged as a late first rounder.

Don't forget he is young and still learning, he hasn't really gotten into a groove yet with his teammates, but defensively is solid and his offensive game is decent if a tad rough around the edges.

We'll have to wait and see what Summers becomes. Right now I see him as a player with several good features, but no real standout capabilities. He may need a standout characteristic to really find a role on a team. JJ's playing because he's shown an effectiveness defensively. Daye's playing mostly because he's a 1st rounder - and because of his unique size and promising offensive skills.

Some guys, however, find a role by just being solid.

Perhaps in Europe, but not here. And I admit, I have a partial like for the all-around, solid player.

Labels are very big in this country. The finer the cut-out, the easier it is to quickly determine your value. To be solid takes time and maturity of mind. In this country, it all melts into air.

Summers & Daye are the final two cuts.

What do you mean? Are you predicting that Summers and Daye will be the final two cut before we again field a contending team?

Summers earned his stripes in a losing effort tonight pushing Daye and Kwame further down the bench.

well who knows? If he becomes a juggernaut why not? Hahahaaha but since were on a loosing season why not let these new players play and lets see if what they’re made off, besides Gordon I believe is hurting so what else can we do..sit tight and wait up until this losing season is over…or cross our fingers that joe is planning something big before the trade deadline....I dunno ill just see how these rooks progress

Anyone who has an ounce of perception can easily see this kid is a born 3.

He will become what Rashard Lewis should have been.

    Now, that is awesome!

Yup. Daye has got some serious basketball skills. He looks a like kid who played guard coming up and then just happened to grow 6,7 inches unexpectantly.

Let's just hope he can be better than Channing Frye
