RAPTORS: Raptors Acquire Carlos Delfino From Pistons 2009 and 2011 second rounders. I hope they got a coke too, because they certainly got some peanuts.
So our backup at the 2/3 heading into next year is who exactly? I'm not yet seeing how this move falls in line with Joes "no starters over 30 minutes" tirade. Better yet, wasn't there just an article on Delfino with Pistons players and staff talking about how good he really was? I am officially done with believing the kool-aid hype spewed by anyone associated with this team from now on.
You know this means he will come back and drop 30 on us. The door is now open for Flip Murray to put his mark on his team.
I hear you Cloud. I don't like it at first glance either, but it may be one small piece to the puzzle. I'm going to TRY to hold off saying much until I see a bit more of the finished product. I'm hoping Dumars has something planned. More trades or something with the draft. Yeah, I'm hoping.
Watch, now that we have traded him, he is going to have a break out year. He is gonna show us all the things that we were missing.
I hope so because I missed a lot. It's no secret I wasn't enamoured with his play this year. This is a good move for Delf because he's going to a team that can play him and I really didn't get the feeling that his future was in Detroit after this contract expires. I'm also not going to get into Darko-esque Stockholm Syndrome. You have to believe that it is possible to upgrade that position. Swingmen are a dime a dozen.
True. My beef is with the talk that has always surrounded him from the organization concerning how good he could be. Trading him for a bag of Cheetos sort of points to all of that rhetoric being bull.
Of course the rhetoric is bull. The Pistons aren't interested in selling honest player evaluations. They sell tickets to entertainment events. Does anyone really believe the Undertaker died and came back to life?
