Man. Feel a bit sad about this. I've always liked Carlos. Seemed like he never created any chemistry problems. Oh well.
Yeah I agree guys, it is probably a better situation for Delfino, playing wise. I just hope Joe can make something out of this besides some future 2nd round picks. Right now, San Antonio's organization is the gold standard to which we should be striving both from a player evaluation, organization, coaching, and talent mix. Everything fits together towards one goal and that is winning championships. Forget the bull, flash, and hype that the media puts on us.
I liked Delfino too. Seemed like we could have got more for him, but I think the early move shows Joe is going to work hard this offseason.
PISTONS: Adios, Carlos Rumours of Acker? I got to get my thoughts on Alex down because it sounds like horse manure in this article that he is going to come to Detroit next season...
I liked Delfino too. He had some pretty spectacular dunks during his Pistons tenure. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a great jumpshot, and if you want to win with Saunders, We Just Have To Make Our Shots tm. Maybe he will fit well with the Raps system and we can see some cool moves.
Funny thing about the article was that it noted that Delfino played in all 82 games and all 16 post season games and some still thought he didn't play enough. Well at least Joe has started his shake up and the Raptors have gone more international than before. To bad we could get Calderon or Mopete instead of a future pick, that may wind up being way down in the down in 40's or 50s.
The Pistons are really good at developing players and trading them away to watch them thrive on other teams. I am pretty sure that Carlos was fed up with being played a minute or two here and there, and I guess Joe D didn't think much of him for the future, so let him go for nothing.
A Sad, Sad Day. I'm stickin' with the name though if that is alright? I still think he will be a very good player in this league and it is going to be unfortunate for us that another player blossoms after leaving the Piston Nest.
That's also not going to be a problem. Believe me, if Carlos was eating up Tay in practice, I don't think Joe would trade him.
Yeah. We don't want to be calling you "two late round way in the future draft choices." That would just seem odd.
It's funny; I think it was in the interview Joe did a couple of days ago he mentioned that 3-4 years in the league is when the light goes on and a player usually gets IT and really comes into his own. Isn't this Carlos' 3rd or 4th year? I had high hopes for the upcoming season with him as a real contributor on offense and defense for significant minutes.
Raps fan here. I know a little about Delfino but I was wondering if anybody here could give me a bit of a break down of his game. Considering we got him for less then the price of a box of used condoms my expectaions aren't to high. Seen some of his dunks and he looks pretty athletic and his rebounding number for a 2/3 look pretty good. Calderon would of never happend. Fans here seem to LOVE that guy. I'd say a 1/3 of raps fans would rather have Jose start over TJ but most will admit that the talent gap between the two isn't very large. If you have questions about MoPete I'm more then happy to answer them for ya here though.
Man you guys are quick. I just heard it and thought I would scoop it. Good for Delfino, so so for the Pistons. I thought we could have gotten more but the guy hardly played. Coach decided on Flip Murry for most of the time. I wonder what we could get for Murry?
